Marvellous Marvin Hagler RIP

Died at 66, probably the greatest middleweight champion of them all. The three rounds with Tommy Hearns in 85 will always be one of boxing greatest moments and also destroyed Leicester own tough man Tony Sibson.  Lost a real legend today sadly. 
 

Rest in peace champ.

That era and weight class with Hagler/Hearns/Leonard/Duran was the best boxing I've ever seen.

Read the book Four kings and you realise what an era of middleweight champs they were.

Awesome brutal fighter. Imagine him v Nigel Benn at their height!!???

Sugar Ray Leonard for me the best middleweight boxer of that era and possibly the best ever but Hagler was certainly up there, he was so physically strong and a relentless boxer, very sad to hear of his death at such a young age.

Sugar Ray was a Welterweight . He only stepped up at the end of his career, super middleweight a few times, beat Hagler at Middleweight (he also won the LH title). Hagler was a monster at Middleweight. 
Very sad all the same.
