With the news of Wes, Fuchs and James leaving, winning the FA Cup,  top 6 for the second season and Europe it really does feel like we’re entering an exciting new era for the club . I also feel this will be a massive transfer window to push us further forward . One era ends and another one starts . Thoughts?

Personally I don't see any new era, merely the continuation of a journey that started when our current owners took over. New managers and players will inevitably arrive, remain, transfer or retire and will have be successful or otherwise. Big players for us like Morgan, Vardy, Albrighton and Fuchs etc will always have a special place for both us and the history books. Football careers are short, but supporters transend decades and even generations. For me personally, it would only be a new era if our current owners sadly decided to sell up. That really would be the end of an era and a very sad day.

Definitely of this opinion.

Fuchs and Morgan has been great servants for the club, had a massive part in where we are and it’ll be sad to see them go but the time has come and it allows us to move forward from here.

I think you underestimated the importance of their presence in terms of culture, bonding and the togetherness the team has. They won the title. Their presence I believe keeps the young ambitious players something to look up to within the club and their selflessness I am sure helps to keep the team together. How many times have you now heard from the players that the team has such a special family spirit within it? It doesn’t just come up. Without them, dare I say the likes of Tielemans or Nacho would not have stayed at the club this long. They feel something special here and they are happy for a reason. I am nervous about them leaving but I think Vardy and Kasper are even more important in that regard.

The journey has only begun!

I don't think the window is as important as people make it out to be. Had JJ and Barnes not got injured we would have qualified for the Champions League for sure IMO. Also we always wondered what we would do if Vardy got injured or lost form, but Kelechi has shown us there is a future without him.

For some the end of the season might feel like a let down, but it really isn't. This team has won a trophy now, we know we have the mental resilience to do it.

But I would agree it is the start of a new era, though it probably began with Rodgers coming in. But add the cup win, two top 5 finishes and the training academy, and a new cast of heroes and we've got plenty to be looking forwards to!

Making me emotional here...

Changing of the guard seems well timed as the current crop now have a win in thier dna. A priceless mental edge.

I was convinced the legacy of person's championship win held us in good stead for the PL. Schmeichel, Wes, Drinky, Vards, Mahrez and even the schluppmeister general  all had acquired that relentless mentality of winning. I felt having Fuchs, Wes, Albrighton, Schmeichel et al kept that spirit and dna in the dressing  room, even if not playing

baton now passed to Cags, Evans, lil Wes,  wilf etc to continue that winner's spirit at Seagrave every day

Wouldn't count Evans in that category. He has aged and carrying a chronic injuries.

I believe Wes will still be around the club in a new role, what this role entails i'm not so sure and whether he'll be around the team and have any hands on input remains to be seen but this moment had to come at some point, they couldn't go on forever,

My money would be on Kasper, keepers can keep going for a while.

Based on previous evidence, Kasper would be the longest serving member. But, Sharky does seem to be the energiser bunny in human form...so who knows.

Either way, I would really hope that Vards, Kasper and Marc would be offered various roles to keep the culture going after they retire from playing, if they wanted to.

Most definitely I’d love Vardy to be a striker coach . I’ve heard before he’s held impromptu finishing sessions with others .

Yes this! Similar to when Kevin Phillips was here and could do the same to strikers. We need that passion to be instilled in the youngsters.

My worry is that he may be tempted by Sheff Wed at some point, but i hope we could all forgive him wanting to be involved with his home town club that he's followed forever.
