With the news of Wes, Fuchs and James leaving, winning the FA Cup,  top 6 for the second season and Europe it really does feel like we’re entering an exciting new era for the club . I also feel this will be a massive transfer window to push us further forward . One era ends and another one starts . Thoughts?

We need to sign a couple of more experienced heads to mix in with the usual youth signings now IMO, the likes of Tarkowski and Bertrand are good examples. Model pros by all accounts and plenty to offer in the first team if needed, or from the bench.

The journey has only begun!

I don't think the window is as important as people make it out to be. Had JJ and Barnes not got injured we would have qualified for the Champions League for sure IMO. Also we always wondered what we would do if Vardy got injured or last form, but Kelechi has shown us there is a future without him.

For some the end of the season might feel like a let down, but it really isn't. This team has won a trophy now, we know we have the mental resilience to do it.

But I would agree it is the start of a new era, though it probably began with Rodgers coming in. But add the cup win, two top 5 finishes and the training academy, and a new cast of heroes and we've got plenty to be looking forwards to!

We really have only just started.

It's actually a bit of a relief to see those two go, fantastic servants to the club but we really hamstring ourselves by keeping players on the books that we've outgrown. It's nobodies fault that we've progressed and nobody should feel bad, it's just football.

Much like if we get relegated next season, I wouldn't expect our quality young talents to stick around, they need to do what's best for themselves.

Ummm ... I would not have mixed Wes, Fuchs and James with the rest of your message which is that we are entering an exciting new era.  New era for sure, and hopefully an even better one, but it is sad for me to see club legends Wes and Fuchs leaving (James not so sure). They did as much off the pitch as they did on it. I hope the family culture they always talked about can survive even after they left.

To clear Slimani £80k a week, Gray must of been £50k plus these three, and get a decent fee for ghezzal as well as making about £10m from the Europa and fa cup runs, more leniency on FFP with the current situation. It’s a real opportunity to be able to go out and spend and have a season where we can go away in Europe and rest players like Vardy with better squad depth. If they got Gosins and trincao as well as Edouard and Soumare then fingers crossed! It’s ashame Benteke heads in the clouds wanting £170k. I think he’d of been a great option. Certainly up there with performances I’ve seen live from a target man with Dzeko and Rondon being the other two top class performances.

that's potentially 250-300k per week in wages off the books before additional sales this summer, which could be used on new signings and contract extensions:

Slim = 80k /week

Gray = 50k

Fuchs = 45k

Big Wes = 50 k

James = 30k

Jakupovic = 30k

When you think of the players we have and the age they currently are then the future is definitely looking bright if we can hold onto them.

The likes of

Fofana

Soyuncu

Tielemans

Ndidi

Iheanacho

Justin

Barnes

Castagne

All of the above are all 25 or under

Keep them together for a few more seasons and i honestly think with some additions we could challenge regularly. Some serious talent their.

It's hardly a new era for the club when three players that don't play leave.

Definitely of this opinion.

Fuchs and Morgan has been great servants for the club, had a massive part in where we are and it’ll be sad to see them go but the time has come and it allows us to move forward from here.

Not sure we need too many additions, the only thing this team lacks is a leader, a voice on the pitch. Kasper can organise a backline but he's not in the middle of the park orchestrating things. Every GREAT side needs a Viera, a Keane, a Terry to be it's general and I just wonder if we actually have that. And is that element something you can actually buy in?

It’s the next step in Leicesters domination. In 20 years Rodgers will retire with 18 PL trophies 4 Champions league’s and 12 FA cups....

We will be known as the modern day galactico’s.

Changing of the guard seems well timed as the current crop now have a win in thier dna. A priceless mental edge.

I was convinced the legacy of person's championship win held us in good stead for the PL. Schmeichel, Wes, Drinky, Vards, Mahrez and even the schluppmeister general  all had acquired that relentless mentality of winning. I felt having Fuchs, Wes, Albrighton, Schmeichel et al kept that spirit and dna in the dressing  room, even if not playing

baton now passed to Cags, Evans, lil Wes,  wilf etc to continue that winner's spirit at Seagrave every day

Them leaving opens up a could of squad positions that need filling. We defo need another centre back, midfielder, left back for some reason and right sided forward. Oh and a striker.

I think we'll get at least 4 players this summer and maybe even lose a first teamer if we fail to achieve champions league.
