Maybe they should offer a discount for supporters to sit in the (Depressing) empty corners of the West Stand to make the crowd look a bit more dispersed... :chant:

I think this is nice of the club ... its a little unlucky to those fans who have paid much more money to sit there all the way through then people can move for free though ... i wont be moving i like my seat any one thinking of moving?

 So the support from a sth who gave more to sit in a dearer part of the ground, is being shafted because someone from a cheaper part of the ground can now have the same for FREE, pure lcfc discrimination.

:(

When will lcfc stop discriminating against lcfc fans?

Bluefoxtim: "hmm, but if we upgrade surely next season our 'seat' will be where we end up, meaning the season ticket is more expensive....???"

 The discriminatory people who work at our club, are LAUGHING at you/us. Not happy discriminating against the richer customers, now it seems they`ve devised a scheme to take more from us?

They must think lcfc fans are stupid.

Seems to work :(

Clever, and very snidey move from the club to get people into the more expensive seats this season, and then come next season say "hey you liked those seats for the 2nd half of the season didn't you, why don't you renew them and enjoy that cracking view again this season, it'll only cost you *cough cough £100 or so pounds more cough cough cough*, but on the bright side with our plushy discounts that we always offer it'll cost you roughly the same as buying the seat you had last season without the discount. Which Ironically will be the price you'll have to pay anyway if you wanted to move back as we can only offer you the great chance of relocating when the discounts have allllllll vanished"

I wonder whose idea down at the club that was, I bet they got a tidy little reward for that idea!

I myself shall be getting a 2nd half season ticket after not being able to afford it before I got my job, it shall be a nice reward, probably turn out to be more of a punishment though!

They might be right! You wouldn't be happy with anything that potentially offers a discount to anyone. Why not take it at face value? I'm sure the club are hoping some people will stick with the more expensvie seats.. Why wouldn't they want that? But if everyone can work that out then it's hardly underhand.

Perhaps you could explain to me how having more people sitting near you would "take more from us"(you)? Would his not make the atmosphere better? :P

JTH, the face value is lcfc discrimination. Think about it, why would a sensible person exchange a dear product, for a less expensive product  Infact, the club probably hope idiotic thinking will occur amongst some fans to make them sound better, and it works

No, the vast majority who exchange their tickets will be for a higher priced one, which is just discrimination upon those who already have it, not to mention those who cannot gain a better priced seat.

I`d laugh my head off if you cannot recieve the full discount on your previous st.

Just give the club your life savings...get it over and done with

I couldn't give a shit to be honest. The majority of people sit where they want to sit at the football, i'd be very surprised if there was a large percentage of fans sitting in the cheaper parts of the ground that move to more expensive seats purely because they are getting something better for free. The more expensive seats give you a better view no doubt, but the atmosphere is horrific. It's bad enough in the kop but treat yourself to a seat not far from the dugouts and you'll be lucky to hear a fart let alone a chant or song.

I don't see what's wrong with this idea for the fans that aren't happy with their seats and have a chance to move half way through the season, i'm sure there will be some fans in L1 that are sick and tired of all the shit that goes on there and might want to move elsewhere and this gives them that chance.

It makes sense that if fans move to more expensive seats that they pay the going rate when they renew next season, if they didn't then that would be discrimination for the fans who were originally in that area of the stadium.

The club will always have their motives but quite frankly this isn't anything worth moaning about, it will benefit some fans and surely that's a good thing isn't it? Jesus this is getting boring.

Posted

JESUS... if you move you don't have to stay there next season do you!!!!!! There are 10,000 empty seats to choose from.

Get a grip and stop moaning.

For the life of me I cannot see where they might get that idea from.

Well (and i include myself in this of course) some not all of us think we`ll get promotion, and its unlikely, and of those who dont, why support them?

WE must be a little stupid atleast. We pay £15 to watch "our" team/club, yet its not our team and club. We could play the game for FREE, watch sunday leagu for FREE, speak to all concerned. The only major difference is the atmosphere, is that what the £15 is for, oh and the seat you HAVE to sit on regardless of how cold it may be.

YES, football fans are stupid.

What happens if most of those few who sit in the corners decided to sit somewhere else, and no one bothers to move there, IT`LL BE EMPTY

Oh i wish those who worked for lcfc had a brain...they could possibly say, that IF anyone from a more supported part of the ground would like to move there, we`d be more than delighted to accomodate completely free of charge, and you`ll get a st for that seat for the following season for the same discount of the previous seat you had purchased last april, simple.

And whats this myth that a higher priced seat gives a better view

For a better atmosphere all round the stadium, i suggest the LAW be changed to allow people to stand on the back 3 or 4 rows. This would create a sing song atmosphere all round the ground. Normally non singers would then join in.

But try changing the law...maybe the pen 1 boys and girls could adopt this idea (not to break the law of course), by changing their seats to accomodate just the back rows?

What about the current lot?

It's not really a myth is it sunshine. It's a common factor in lots of sporting venues that the better the view the higher the match ticket/season ticket. I'm not saying all expensive seats at The Walkers have a great view and i'm not saying all cheaper tickets have a crap view but I recently sat near the executive area in the ground and the view was magnificent, something which probably accounts for why the seats are more expensive than in the kop.

It was soooo quiet and peaceful as well......

Who took away that lush quote, you include in your post, in the thread "transfer window"? have you been a naughty moderator.

So whats the difference in view between front row in the east stand, and front in the west stand? Ones a higher price to pay than the other. What about a FREE view from the north stand, and a priced view in the kop?

If you weren't so busy getting upset that you might have paid for something others are now getting for free you would see that this is a nice gesture for most fans, which just might generate some more revenue next year. This is positive discrimination for a lot of fans. I suppose your one of these people who complains at Tesco about special offers on products you bought last week? Or to Sony becuase that telly you bought six months ago got cheaper? Damn those people who got something you didn't!!! Damn them all!!! :D:D
