Doubt it. I wouldn’t really be that supportive either due to the Thai Royal Family having a very questionable record with Human Rights.

You can say that about every single government and country literally.

Whether they kill people or not is quite irrelevant to the point that I am making. If these articles below don’t make people feel uncomfortable then I’m not sure what will.

It’s not irrelevant as you clearly said “… have people killed for talking against the monarch”.

They don’t.

Your point is therefore entirely wrong.

People here worried about human rights in Thailand , every second country in the 3rd world does it and it doesn’t stop the 1st world country’s from dealing with them . It’s not right but it does happen

I don’t disagree with you but this is modern football in many ways. The issue I have is that people on this forum act like the Srivadhanapraba family are saints - they clearly aren’t.

My initial point was that they have a questionable record when it comes to Human Rights.

Not unless Thailand has a public investment fund that means it’s sitting on more money than it knows what to do with thanks to an abundance of oil…

Whilst there are the obvious ‘sports-washing’ benefits for the owners of both Man City and Newcastle, the money comes from a public investment fund where the country wants to do something to grow the money they are sitting on and to start to diversify where their money is coming from knowing that the oil one day will run dry.

Thailand is therefore not a comparable country and if we were to be taken over by a state it would be more likely that King Power would have sold us to a Middle Eastern state.

The best way Thailand could help Leicester is buy making it more easy to travel there.

The country is in a complete mess at the moment and the tourism industry is dead.

Not good news for King Power.
