In my opinion many of those who just come to ‘sit and watch’ at away games will not turn up and that can only be good for an away end. Whether that’s you or not I don’t know and frankly don’t care. Come on the boys

l am just going to sit and watch the game, l am sorry about that, l think there be enough people there who will sing with you.

Look forward to doing this all over again for Man City

The sad thing is that we (the fans, viewing public etc.) have to make all these changes personally and they can be considerable and expensive because either the Footie authorities won't shut things down for a couple of weeks maybe till 1st Jan at least - yes I know it would make Christmas v depressing with no footie.

But its all political surprisingly, in his current situation Boris CAN'T Lockdown (or he's gone) & the Footie authorities won't close down for Christmas coz of the TV deals and no bunce/slippage in the footie calendar whatsoever.

SO a decent number of fans won't go to the football tomorrow on all teams & tonight because they are fearful of the situation, friends, family etc., good money that they have shelled out to take some respite from what has happened over the last 18 months and even last month or so.

And half the pages of this thread are bickering because they have to make decisions and others judge or comments get misunderstood.

Anyway as Noddy said "its Cccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssssssstttttttttttttttttmmmmmmmmmmaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!

Probably see you at the game???  Even though I'm not sure myself yet:(

We're going to have over 5000 people there. No ones really too bothered with restrictions now tbh. Simple fact really if you think you're vulnerable you look after yourself can't expect everyone to do the same. Crack on in my opinion

We have sold around 5,400. However, I think a lot less than 5,000 will turn up. Not that it matters that much for the atmosphere.

I really hope Burnley is on. That’s the one I’m most up for

It'll be on no doubt but I bet behind closed doors. Would imagine fans back in Feburary maybe. No way Wales and Scotland are kicking fans out and England resumes.

If only Johnson had folowed the lead of the Scots and Welsh in the past, absolutely no reason to beleieve he will in the future.

Of course I hope I am wrong. We need hospitalisations and deaths to remain steady even in this extreme wave of Omicron cases, otherwise it's good night for now. All of Europe are tightening too, maybe rather safe than sorry but only time will tell.

Well, I started this thread, and I did go in the end, with my 2 kids.  I’ve never been on the coach to an away game before, but I assumed with Covid cases so high, and Christmas around the corner, that everyone would wear a mask.  Most people did, but the 4 people closest to us didn’t.  One of them coughed the whole return journey, and when I asked him to wear a mask he said it was the mask making him cough. Except he wasn’t wearing one.

And now we’ve all got coughs.

I know it was a risk going, and I don’t regret it because the kids loved it, but I was really shocked at how selfish some people are.
