Are you still going to the Liverpool match (if it happens)?

People have said it’s crazy to go on the coach with Covid numbers so high, even if wearing a mask. My kids are desperate to go.  I’m just wondering if many other people are going, or cancelling having originally planned to go.

We had to spend my daughters first Christmas In isolation last year due to all having Covid.

The thought of risking her second Christmas,  to watch 2 reserve teams battle it out, which could also be done on TV or via a stream, is a crazy idea for me.

I guess its all down to personal circumstances though isn't it.

There will always be the percentage that don't let covid worries dictate their life, and the others that would just continue as normal even if they did test positive.

I had to decide to get tickets for this, or Everton. I opted for Everton.

The way things are right now, I'm happy that was called off, because I'd have seriously considered not going, despite disappointing my step-son.

I'd rather miss a football match than ruin Christmas.

No. The one home game I had pencilled in was Spurs and we all know what happened (when I was almost there).

Would love to go but fate is conspiring against me this season and not only in a footballing capacity sadly.

Yes.

Looks like the decision will be taken out of our hands very soon and it could be a while before watching City live again.

I’m fortunate in the sense I am post COVID now for about three weeks, so in a better position than most for a period of time

Covid will be with us for a long time.

How often do we get Quarter Finals at Anfield in front of 5500 away fans?

GO GO GO

Its comments like this that really anger me.

The fact that those choosing not to go have not once said anything negative about those choosing to go tells you everything you need to know.

To be fair, someone said that people’s health, livelihoods and lives are more important than a football match, implying that those who go are being selfish.

We will go if it’s allowed, because my kids are desperate to go, and they’ve both made massive sacrifices in the past 2 years. But I must confess to feeling uneasy about it myself.

Point taken but to just label those not going as boring is a pure unnecessary insult

No ones criticising people for not going. Just saying it’s likely that the type of people who make our ends look like a Christmas pantomime will probably stay away. This is a positive for the rest of us and the players too

Just out of interest, what type of fan is that?

And why is it beneficial to you and the team?

In my opinion many of those who just come to ‘sit and watch’ at away games will not turn up and that can only be good for an away end. Whether that’s you or not I don’t know and frankly don’t care. Come on the boys

Alright Geordie ****in shore, we aren’t all as great as you. It obviously means more to you than us that just turn up and watch. Crack on lad, hope you have a great time on your own.

Come on strokesy liven up a bit. No one said it doesn’t mean anything to you, it just isn’t conducive to a good away end. Oh and I don’t think I’ll be on my own.

What a strange opinion.

Enjoy the game.
