Come on strokesy liven up a bit. No one said it doesn’t mean anything to you, it just isn’t conducive to a good away end. Oh and I don’t think I’ll be on my own.

It’s surely better than an empty seat covered by a blanket? What happened to the more the merrier?

Not going to any matches until the worst of this latest covid wave has blown over. People's health, lively hoods and life are more important than any football match.

I had a lively hood once. Was just an infection.

Why don’t you come then? Still two days till kick off.

Not a personal dig tbf I genuinely do not care about people’s Covid opinions, I’m merely stating the demographic of people who are likely to stay away are the type of people who don’t contribute to what I believe to be a good away end. No need to be so defensive about it.

Not read any of your asinine thoughts but if I intended on going to Liverpool I’d have gone. I had Everton tickets so I’m tempted if any Liverpool spares crop up alongside transport

Wasn’t going to this game anyway, but Covid didn’t even enter my head as a reason not to go- I completely understand certain reasons not to bother- Enforced time off work with no pay/ Christmas around the corner.

Covid isn’t going away though, and I’m not sure at what point people will just say, ‘fcuk it’ if they haven’t already done so by now.

There was meant to be 5 of us going. 1 has pulled out as he is pretty much not socialising to secure Christmas. Which is fair enough. I will go if the others are still going. I think 2 are definite and the other 1 is in the balance.

Live your life.

Yep, get covid like I did at Leeds away and spend a month as sick as a parrot and lose all fitness.

Live your life, but take responsibility for what MIGHT happen and if your happy with the possible repercussions  then good on you!

Started reading the thread not having a ticket and the temptation to get one by the end of the day might be a bit too much.

Me too.  I’m working from home on Thursday too 😉

Not sure what’s changed to be honest, we’ve been going to full capacity stadiums for the past few months without any issues.

Are people worried about going now because the government are implementing restrictions to slow down the spread of Omicron which has been proven to be similar to a common cold? Restrictions that they won’t be following themselves..

No it hasn’t-this is a myth because they just don’t know yet

There is COVID in the Leicester squad.  Presumably, they will travel by coach together.  The potential for spread is clear.  Future games could be threatened.  I think I am going to the home game v Liverpool but I have my doubts.

Fans travelling by coach are taking a risk.  I wouldn't.  I have long COVID (not severely thankfully), am double jabbed and boosted.  Working in education, I am obliged to risk my health every work day.

This is a matter of personal choice.  Perhaps it shouldn't be; perhaps it should have been taken out of people's hands.

I get the argument that people have to lead their lives; unfortunately, there can be severe consequences.

The promise of the vaccine programme meaning  people could get on with lives is a compelling argument for those who want freedom to  attend events such as the cup quarter final.

Like many things, this is far from black and white.   But personally, choosing to travel on a coach would not be for me.

Proven?

Let's hope your guff doesn't spread as fast as Omicron.  If it does more people.will catch Omicron which can  be more serious than a common cold.  It can lead to permanent incapacity such as death.
