After the (imo) appalling decision to postpone Liverpools match against Arsenal and taking into account Liverpools readiness to play "kids" when the big money World club cup clashed with an unimportant (to them) English cup fixture, and the forfeited game in the same competition for the same reason last year imposed on Leyton Orient, is this not a clear case of double standards?... Again..

they’ve shut their training ground having got local govt healthcare involved

and I wouldn’t want that squad staying in my hotel tonight - nor should they be travelling down to London when any of them could be on the point of spreading it

If they offered to play their kids then I expect the EFL (and sky) rejected that because it would ‘destroy’ the semi final tie. The illustrations you’ve correctly pointed to were v early in the competitions …. I get principle but this decision is sensible

Two different seasons. It’s a BS decision but not a double standard.

I take back calling it a “BS decision”. Seems like the sensible path was taken.

I wonder if the 'leg breaker' has tested positive?  Positive for being a filthy git.

Football in general has different standards based on who you are. Liverpool and Manchester United are at the top of the hierarchy in England.

Is it not double standards that you think this is unfair by them but not all the other teams (most of whom did for personal gain) that cancelled their games?

Any club with a few key injuries is using covid as an added excuse to cancel.
