It’s not for a specific date though it’s for a game week, and there’s absolutely no reason why the game couldn’t have been played on the Sunday or even the Friday, as annoying as it is.

Same applies for Divali? The police/club ask we don't have a game that weekend despite the celebrations being mostly on the Sunday. Same could have happened here and saves all parties a lot of disruption.

Yes as stated. But they have to put their preferences in priority.

According to the article on making the schedule that appeared in The Athletic, clubs send in all the obvious conflicts, and it said that about 85% of requests are granted. I guess this was part of the 15%.

Announced on 5th July. 

 

Man Utd (H) moved to 1st Sept. 

Meaning Brighton (a) moves to Sunday 4th.

 

Spurs Away on 17th Sept now at 17.30 on Sky.
