Last day of closed season so getting in the thread  fillers while I can.

 

In the history section, under players,  727 of 1136 the Foxestalk historical players are classified as English, 199 Scottish.

 

Any scottish supporters want to have a go at beating this or other English teams, you can have Jock Wallace in goal if you want...... Matt Elliot counts too.

Or can the Americas field a team?

Rest of the world or any mix o you fancy.....

 

Struggling more than i expected and refuse to pick Kane or Keown and also going with who I saw.

Must be a better English team than this

Better defensive balance, I did consider Nish over Rofe. Also Heskey or Alan Smith alongside Vardy but either weller or Worthington. Better than anything Man City have now?

Why are you leaving out Lineker when he's one of the Countries greatest ever goalscorers never mind just us.

Because of vardy.

The two together would be terrifying but a tricksy partner like Worthington or powerhouse like Heskey would be even better. Lineker on the bench as Vardy cover

Better balance but I am sure we have several long haired, pint swilling, chain smoking, flared ex players better than Maguire and drinkwater and up to now anyway, Justin

It's just a fake team though so "because of Vardy" doesn't really come into it. Lineker every time, bloke scored 48 in 80 for England.

I watched Lineker develop and minus the 1st season of watching him race through and fall over the ball, I thought we would never have a better striker. I was wrong

I think it’s taken as a given that when discussing nationality in football we mean which international side they played for.

 

Besides, it’s 2022. As much as I’m sure Morgan happily considers himself both English and Jamaican, a persons nationality isn’t defined by where you were born.

I genuinely just Googled Dean Hammond to see if he was called up through his grandparents for someone like Ivory Coast or Cameroon, then you just gave me flashbacks to Elvis Hammond.
