Not quite sure you realised what thread this is?

I do and I'm saying I don't think we have much reason to be optimistic. I've been optimistic when others have been pessimistic before, I'm just calling it as I see it. Unfortunately it doesn't look good.

I've been wrong before, so all is not lost, but let's see!

I think its interesting to comparing our first season back in the premier league compared to now and how Forest are having the same conversations we were having back then.

Us in 2014 and Forest now were incredibly excited about the season and understandably banging on about:

- Excitement of playing in the premier league and making your home ground a 'fortess' and take some famous wins

- Aiming to stay up in season 1 and trying to build from there

- Loads of chat about being an 'established premier league team'

Now, I think 99% of neutrals would call us an established premier league team while the general feeling about the season is a bit 'meh' with an outside chance of top 7 or a trophy. I know goals change as you develop but its mad that considering we were borderline obsessed with being an established premier league team, which we know have been for ages.
