Lets hope we can hang on to them both in the January window. A fortnight is a long time in football I've never taken to Faes. Far too many mistakes and seems to have a bad attitude get him gone asap. Mad to think we went from Wes Fofana to Wout Faes in one transfer window
Tedders Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 Simply not good enough.. sooner we replace him the better.
JonesLCFC Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 I have no idea why managers always seem to rate Faes over Souttar. One has the qualities you want in a CB; the other is Wout Faes.
Paul_lcfc_1988 Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 Thinks he’s better than he actually is, only plays for Belgium cause they lack in options in his position! 1

Faes is prem level when he can be bothered, the problem is that at least 50% of the time he's a complete calamity. 1
pmcla26 Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 So much potential but loses his head or chooses the wrong passing option time and time again when the going gets tough.

They're playing CB, not CM—I'd choose the latter any day of the week. 1
Suzie the Fox Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 What a brain fart moment, totally at fault for their goal. He can defend well AT TIMES and be motm then others he is just a liability. I dont know what to make of him tbh. 2

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 I've genuinely seen nothing post 2022 World Cup to suggest this man can be a success at this level and carve out a long term career at it. Too inconsistent — awful aerially, almost as bad on the deck, too rash, too mentally fragile.

Been here for 3 seasons now and still as inconsistent and liability as he was when he first joined - says it all tbh - he is not good enough - okoli won’t learn bugger all from him and we won’t stay up with him at centre half all season 1

That 3rd goal they might just as well count it as an own goal. 1
Tommy Fresh Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 Bloke rarely has an average game just seems to be shit or good, no consistency at all 4
DennisNedry Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 Is Faes seriously getting criticism? He's been one of our best players this season. If we're calling out Faes then whole 11 needs binning tbh. 2 2

He was “bad” because the whole team morale and tactic su*ked. It was on Rodgers. He is worldclass. Class is permanent. Work ethic, concentration level, vision, game reading, positioning (especially) - all worldclass. He was let down by his teammates and the way Rodgers set up the team. As I mentioned back then, we could not get out of our half and were making too many mistakes because in modern football, all teams press and unfortunately unlike Enzo Rodgers used Ndidi as the single pivot much of the time. We all know how that goes. Edited 25 October 2024 by Tom12345 1
Mike1983 Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 Faes doing to Mads what Ward did to him in our last PL season.

Don't think getting a game at United is really a good gauge for whether someones great or not at the minute 1
Kierzz Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 Got schooled and taught a lesson by Chris Wood today. Wood won almost every long ball on his chest or feet against Faes and then played around him. Could do with a quality CB in January to play against a raw but potentially great Okoli.

Even in the Championship last season, the number of times this thread blew up because Faes was dreadful was a joke. We need to offload him if possible.

Okoli in the Faes role and a better ball player to play the Vestergaard role. Evans and Soyuncu 19/20 style. 1
James_lcfc Posted 25 October 2024 Posted 25 October 2024 Been a joke since the day we signed him. Just utter rubbish.
