1. Why is Danny Ward still in goal? Why has Iverson not even been given a chance? (Yes I know two questions in one but it's the same thing!)

Unlike every other position in football, it seems that once you have been picked as first choice keeper, it's essentially yours then unless your either Injured, or leave.

Sometimes the grass isn't always greener. I don't believe Iverson is the answer. This all stems from lack of preparation when Kasper left. There were good first choice keepers available at that time but for whatever reason (likely money) we never invested but instead, for whatever reason, felt Ward could step up. Theres a sense of feeling that your back up keeper could turn into prime Buffon but still only ever be a 'back up' keeper.

We need a new keeper, but unfortunately,  I don't see it anywhere near a priority for the club so Ward will he our No.1 for some time now.

2. Why did we sign Bertrand and Vestergaard and why does there seem to be no accountability for these signings?

I believe both were signed as replacements with the intention of being back up players who can add some experience to the dressing room.

I dont think either were under any illusion that they would be getting regular game time.

Bertrand was a free transfer and I believe Vestergaard was around £15M which isn't too bad for an (at the time) international player.

Unfortunately, both have struggled and we have been stuck with their wage bill. More frustrating with Bertrand who's spent most the time here picking up a wage for being injured.

3. How has Daniel Amartey got to become a first team regular?

One of life's mysterious. I can only presume that Rodgers thinks that low of alternatives that by default he's the only option.

Once Evans is fit, id like to think him and Faes will make up the CB's however i Evans never stays fit for long.

Perhaps Armatey is seen as really professional and 'trains well'. Ultimately,  I think only Brendan knows why he picks him and we all know there's more to just ability with the Soyunchu saga.

6. Why is Rodgers not being held to account?

For us, who watch and support the team, we see the finer details and are more critical. For the neutral,  they see it as he's done this that and the other, all beyond our means, and that we should be thankful for what he's done for us.

Whilst i question Tops ability to run our club, i don't doubt his awareness that our performances arent in line with his ambitions. Perhaps again, its down to money and him not finding the right person to be our new manager.

8. If we have a plan to replace Vardy, how has this gone so wrong?

I am not so sure that we can replace him. Vardy was a gem. I couldn't name another striker who (a) would be of the same quality and (b) that would come to us.

We have picked up other gems, the likes of Mahrez, Kante and even Fofana, however these kind of players seem to be drying up now. Not sure if certain members of the recruitment team have moved on or what?

9. Why doesn't Ihenacho never get a look in?

I'm probably going to let my personal opinion get in the way of this question. I dont rate him as a player. Shows signs of quality but as a whole he just looks slow, clumsy and negative.

10. Why are so many players running down their contracts?

Wouldn't you jump off a sinking ship?

nothing to do with seagrave. All to do with brendan’s methods

That's an interesting suggestion. A lot of us focus on the building and moving in there but it could be a case of the methods used there instead.

Kind of gives me hope that we could  start getting the benefit from it under the right guidance.

I’ve got an 11th question and I want honest answers only. Don’t just say yes if you haven’t done this playing a hero.

have you ever sent a fart as a voice message on WhatsApp?

Only kidding!

Went to bed with my brain scrambled last night after the game. I thought I'd put some questions out there - feel free to pick a number and answer one ....or more if you can. Yes there's theads out there but I want focused discussion, so please reply with the number and a valid explanation.

I have a feeling some are interlinked and one solution could be the answer for all or perhaps it's just small changes that need to be made?

1. Why is Danny Ward still in goal? Why has Iverson not even been given a chance? (Yes I know two questions in one but it's the same thing!)

2. Why did we sign Bertrand and Vestergaard and why does there seem to be no accountability for these signings?

3. How has Daniel Amartey got to become a first team regular?

4. Why ever since we moved into Seagrave has our injury rate gone through the roof and our form nose dived?

5. Why have we suddenly got no money to spend?

6. Why is Rodgers not being held to account?

7. Why are we expanding the stadium when everything else is just rotting like a cabbage in the sun? There seems to be a disconnect between investment and club performance.

8. If we have a plan to replace Vardy, how has this gone so wrong?

9. Why doesn't Ihenacho never get a look in?

10. Why are so many players running down their contracts?

1. He has way more experience than Iverson - he had 5 or 6 clean sheets in a row before the WC. We need a new number one but Iverson isn't the answer yet.

2. No idea why we signed them, but what do you expected the club to do, make a statement telling us they are sh*t - we just have to realease them or get a small fee and off the wage bill.

3. JE constantly injured, and Soyuncu not in favour and has the tendancy to be equally as bad as Amartey

4. Nothing to do with the trainign ground, more to do with the medical staff i.e Rennie departure

5. FFP, big contracts to mediocre players. No one unless you are on the board knows the ins and outs of the clubs finances.

6. Held to account, do you mean sacked? Could be 10 reasons why the board don't want to sack him

7. These plans started after we won the FA Cup an had two top 5 finishes, why wouldn't you?

8. You cant replace JV

9. Could be a bad trainer, bad attitude, Manager doesnt rate him etc

10. Duh, more ££££ for them

4. In short- within the sports science and medicine profession there’s been a large shift towards technology- as there is in many industries across the world. The issue for me is we don’t work with robots, a very large part of the profession is being able to build a strong relationship with the player, and sometimes what their telling you may be different to the data your pulling from monitoring and testing. I imagine a brand new facility also came with a lot of bits of kit that would make it state of the art. Now I don’t know anyone within Leicester on the sports science or medical side, and I don’t hold them wholly responsible, after all every member of staff from manager to intern should be as accountable as one another. But, it’s very easy in the day to day life of football of getting lost in the routines of assessing, monitoring, reporting and providing feedback that you can forget that there’s human beings on the other side and many more factors that need to be taken into account than what the data provides.

Again, I don’t know anyone within the department and I am probably wide of the mark. But, it’s a common issue across the profession and sometimes it’s hard to just get yourself back to basics especially if you have to justify equipment and technology that took a large chunk of your budget.

Either:  1.  Iversen hasn't impressed in training, or
              2.  BR doesn't want to pick him only for the world to see that he's the better keeper which would result in criticism for BR for sticking with Ward

2. Why did we sign Bertrand and Vestergaard and why does there seem to be no accountability for these signings?

Act in haste, repent at leisure.  Lesson to be learned, BR has credit in the bank with Top

3. How has Daniel Amartey got to become a first team regular?

He gives his best even if it's not good enough - better than someone who BR and the rest of the squad know can't be bothered

4. Why ever since we moved into Seagrave has our injury rate gone through the roof and our form nose dived?

No evidence that these are connected

5. Why have we suddenly got no money to spend?

Either:  1.  FFP, or
              2.  Harder times for the owner since Covid, or
              3.  Income invested elsewhere, i.e. training ground, or
              4.  Too few major player sales, or
              5.  A combination of the above

6. Why is Rodgers not being held to account?

He probably is but we don't see it.  Good managers praise in public and criticise in private.

7. Why are we expanding the stadium when everything else is just rotting like a cabbage in the sun? There seems to be a disconnect between investment and club performance.

Medium term ambition to improve the standing of the club to be a PL fixture rather than a yo-yo club

8. If we have a plan to replace Vardy, how has this gone so wrong?

Daka was brought in with some great stats which haven't translated into PL performance.  Transfers are often a gamble.  He could improve with time, even Vardy struggled in his first season

9. Why doesn't Ihenacho never get a look in?

Probably impresses less in training than Daka

10. Why are so many players running down their contracts?

City are on a downward trajectory and those players who aspire to greater things won't want that

Those clean sheets look good on paper, but the fact is that he wasn’t really put under pressure in those games.

He is statistically the worst shot stopper in the big5 leagues, measured on the average shot difficulity vs saved goals.

On FBRef he is ranked 28 out of 28 premier league goalkeepers, only on crosses does he score above average.

For Iversen not to start it must either be a case of extreme stubbornness or Iversen performing like dogshite in training.
