It also lists where the interest payments go. And the interest is 9.7m on bank loans. So the point I’m making is that he’s wrong to say £20m is going on pay day loans ie. Mcquarrie.

To say this is pedantic is an understatement but I guess people gets kicks out of arguing over meaningless things on the Internet.

I'm reading that Parimatch have been wound up by the Ukranian government due to them failing to stop services in Russia and Belarus.

Yet another quite dodgy gambling corporation we've been or are in bed with. Absolutely vile

@Babylon is absolutely right. At the time Bertrand seemed like a good signing. You can’t foresee any issues. I mean, Maddison is proving to be an issue with injuries, he could quite easily be ruled out for the season again.

Bertrand was a good idea that ultimately turned into a disaster.

Bertrand was brought in to replace Fuchs, he got a higher wage due to him being a free transfer. That's why players, especially of his age and time in his career will run their contract down, for one last big payday.  At the time replacing Fuchs with Bertrand seemed a sensible transfer. It's easy to be wise in retrospect. Vestagaard for me was a strange one, because yes we signed him because of the injury to Fofana, but we had actively been pursuing him for 18 months before that, and yet he was never going to fit into Rodgers high defensive line of playing.  That transfer for me at least, was utterly bizarre.

I'm sure being on the same agency as Brendan Rodgers son also helped secure a massive wage.

Lot of naivety on here.

Ukrainian Parimatch is ‘different’ to the operation in the U.K.

He said, indirectly we pay £20m to Mcquarrie, to correct them and say it’s not true isn’t pedantic, it’s a bloody fact.

But then I guess to some people on the internet actual facts don’t matter.

So where was the rest going?

Still 10m is still not ok.  Or do you think it is?  You have often made posts on here criticising those who think we should spend money, but this is ok? I think its more you just dont want to criticise those running the club.

There is constant rumours about us being interested in signing players. How that is going to be possible with this big loss unless Madders is moved on is hard to fathom. It's already looking like a very wage heavy squad for the Championship, which could send us into freefall next season. The likes of Vardy, Lurch and Bertrand on big money and either not playing or not delivering will kill the club finances.

Interest payments to kingpower, interest payments on transfers, interest payments on hire purchase.

Where have I criticised people saying we should spend money?

Interest payments come with the territory of borrowing money to pay for the infrastructure projects. It’s not a shock, loans needs paying back with interest.

We could have put that money into the team, but frankly it can get wasted in the blink of an eyelid. Id rather go for the long term approach of growing as a club, and as I say it comes with the territory.

I wrote a few posts on the realities of what the infrastructure projects meant in terms of impact. And how difficult it is to manage investments on and off the pitch and getting the balance correct.
