I did wonder, it didn’t seem a squad awash with money. I believe Kee is mates with the manager but was also told he’s not picking up much.

You’d need to spend a bit if/when promoted, it’s a different beast. But good to see you doing so well.

Had it confirmed by a player's mum that there are all manner of ructions going on behind the scenes at the Poppies. We left half the squad at home yesterday, naming only four out of five subs, with only one player confirmed as injured and one suspended.

Lavery, always one to venture an opinion (usually with ridden with joyful expletives), has refused to comment on why he's fallen out with half the players.

Marvin Sordell made a sub appearance, having just flown back from a month in Pattaya, and majestically sent his only shot at goal in the direction of a corner flag. This is the quality we've been missing since we cured Jonny Edwards of his annoying habit of scoring goals.

Don't reckon we'll even make the play-offs now - amazing how the season has fallen to pieces.

Contrary to what people think, there’s no big budget at Quorn. Spalding were paying between £10k-£12k a week last year. Quorn’s budget is around £2200. The Chairman runs a VERY tight ship. For every £350 a week player, there’s a £120 player happy to give their all. Squad are a tight knit bunch. Manager has them playing the right football at high pace and has made very astute signings to strengthen last years squad. Key players from last season have improved. Billy Kee sits on the bench for petrol money. That says all you need.

Beswick’s pulled in favours and having Caino at Loughborough Uni is one hell of a positive. That Kee has left a decent number at AP says a lot

The way they press collective is superb. Strikers work their utter bollocks off.

It’s a real decent story when consider what Khalsa and Anstey are paying out.

Always thought Corby were problematic bunch of fans but yesterday rhey were fine. Management team in particular weren’t ranters or ravers.

Step 3 are the best divisions in the country. Right sort of travel distances, decent crowds but still a semi pro attitude.

Lavery has a player was never a shy one to hide away from conflicts, had quite a few reds in his time. Sounds like as manager he's not changed.

He's been a treat in the first half of the season - him and Cherry both vying for reds and yellows from the touchline. Seems like some in the changing room haven't taken kindly to the 'Ferguson Approach' to motivation.

Non league is still full of players who think they are pro's and the modern player is too soft to take it.

Really enjoyed the Corby lot. Proper set of fans. Unlike some in our division

Been to watch Barwell a couple of times recently and even though they've lost both games, it's been bloody enjoyable.

Leave the house 15 mines before kick off, make it easily, few beers, decent footy, no VAR and few more beers after.

Could easily drop the City to watch them full time with the way we are being ran.

That’s great to hear, it’s exactly how I feel too.

We get to Brackley games an hour before kick off so we can get a drink in the superb clubhouse.  It really is excellent in there.

Crowds are generally a good number considering how small the town is.  I think there are a lot of PL nomads down here.

I miss the old LCFC we used to have in 90s but this new team I support now is easily replacing my old allegiance to Leicester.

Some very good players in our team, and the main central defender is easily better than Leicester’s back two!

Many will feel the same we could see a rise in attendance down at clubs like Barwell, due to poor ongoings at the foxes.

Good man

I'm going to get a ST down Coalville next season despite the level.

I'm fully done at Leicester until this cult leaves town.

Think I might join you (but at Barwell), the only thing that will stop me is my Dad, he loves going the City regardless of how they're doing. Also keeps us seeing each other regularly as well.

Could be a tricky conversation, I need to try get him down Barwell before the season is out really, hope he enjoys it!

I'm in the exact same position

Truth be told I was ready to give my ST up last season but only kept going because of the old man but at this stage I'm pretty sure he doesn't truly enjoy it anyway.

Was looking at the 25/26 projections

Southern Central - going slightly most East - Needham Mkt back, Bury & Felixstowe in.

Was really hoping we'd stay in UCL D1 but I think it's inevitable we move to the midland league. The drop 3 levels is really hitting home seeing us lined up against some of these teams, I think it's because I know them better than the teams in the UCL Div 1.

Where'd you see this posted btw, seems like the source would be a decent follow for non league stuff?

Think the division you are in now has a lot of the Notts clubs born out of miners & worker organisations, so their grounds are developed from back then.

It's nonleaguemaps on twitter/x.

Honestly some of the grounds have been top notch and if the ground has been poor the views have been great.  It'll be really weird having away days in Thringstone next season

Nice one I'll get them followed

Not to rub it in but a good portion of the West Midlands ground are utter holes lol You get the occasional good away day with the likes of Bridgnorth or a few teams that groundshare with higher level clubs but the likes of Wednesfield are the most depressing places to watch football on the planet.

That said, there’s a few decent ones in that Wolves area like Cradley, and plenty are train-able journeys going out New Street so the chance for a few beers in Brum. There’s a lot more Leicestershire in there now which Hinckley rarely had in their stint in there and makes it a lot more convenient.

Enjoying this league a lot more in the UCL if not for the egregious travel distances and less train away days, although a few lads do put minibuses on which are proving more popular this season. I suppose more importantly though: at least these clubs HAVE a ground!

Shame to see Atherstone aren’t forecast to come over anymore: makes it a harder league but Atherstone, Nuneaton, Rugby & Hinckley all in one league should make for some good crowds.

I tell you the worst I’ve watched football at in the Black Country is Darlaston. Dreadful but may be a bit harsh on them cos of they are fan owned.

Romulus’ Castle Vale is in an awful area of Brum as well

Tell you what somehow I didn’t realise they were supporter-owned! Surprised as they’ve never been particularly well-supported either, is there a couple of big backers within the ranks? What they’ve managed with Gill is impressive regardless.

Speaking to folk at Bilston last season and the season before, they were looking to go supporter-owned as well. Recently had the ground gifted to them by the council as well (which is a fantastic little non league setup in my opinion) and seem to be organising a decent youth setup as well. Never seem to be able to get their break but hope they do soon as they could be a great little non-league club if they keep trending the right way off the pitch.

Boro v Hinckley will be tasty plus Boro v Atherstone, we ain't played Hinckley in the league since 2012! long 13 years. Atherstone as well been around 16 years.

Playing against Grace Dieu sounds ridiculous as well but it's actually the international football academy, great facilities

After the latest episode of No One Wants to win Southern Central, it’s amazingly tight. A huge game between Stamford & Leiston tomorrow with Harbs waiting behind v Lowestoft
