Genuine question, do we know who is identifying these players? It can't always be the managers. Is it the same scouts every time? Are we being mugged off by agents who know our board are inept? I'd say our recruitment over the last 5 years is arguably the worst in the history of football, in any league and any country, ever. How are people not being hung out to dry?

He loses control of the ball when he lifts his head looking for a pass, he's alway stretching and leaning back when passing.

I'm seeing comments about his passing ability and it's level. That is not the problem. He cannot defend properly. He is turned or shoved aside too easily.

There are people who genuinely believe the system is why Okoli is terrible?

Along the lines of "He is forced to play the style he is unable to". But it doesn't matter if he cannot mark properly.

I would accept a few passing errors adjusting to a difficult system. This guy has no redeeming football fundamentals at all.

He went straight down the tunnel at full time and didn’t reappear with the rest of them for going round the crowd.

Call me old school but a CB should be able to defend first and foremost.

 

The basics include decent marking, strong in the tackle and pretty good in the air.

 

If you have good recovery pace, absolute bonus.

 

Okoli has none of the above and a hideous modern day CB too!

 

I actually preferred Paddy Kisnorbo at CB.

We could literally sign the best CB from the National League for peanuts and he would be an improvement on Okoli.

He’s not a footballer. Honestly we could go to a circus and pick a random clown I am sure he could do a better job. Basically we have a terrible footballer with terrible body language and Soutter is lumbering around like a moody teenager (clearly thinks he’s better or doesn’t want to be here) and Thomas who is just shit. I’d literally rather anyone on earth than this 3 at the minute, it’s the complete lack of ****s that bothers me. Hell you could have a competition for 3 fans and I am confident they’d do more.

I used to think he was just a donkey but after last week's episode of shouting in that Notts County players face, its clear hes picked up the toxic traits from other arrogant, crap players like Choudhury, Vestergaard and Winks over the years.

 

It would almost be enjoyable seeing these players get mugged off like Okoli did all match yesterday if it wasnt for the fact its costing us results.
