LCFC Fans Consultative Committee Working Group Meeting Minutes 20/11/24

Funnily enough, I don't remember hearing support for digital ticketing, nor did I remember seeing people wanting fewer exemptions  from digital ticketing.

I'm genuinely baffled how on some of the biggest fan issues we've had in years, that the advisory board could be so opposite to the bulk of the fans?

Who holds the Foxes Trust to account, or is there a bit of an 'inner crowd'?

Themselves. Not sure they look at what their aims are vs progression but it’s very tight knit. Most nod along or grin at challenges, very content with the fact the club know they exist (just) and in the knowledge that progress is slow to none. Delighted that the club said they will definitely reply to those emails at some point…..Repeat ad nauseam.

Too vague and no onward actions.

It was felt.....  It was suggested...

No actual demands or set position being taken from which to negotiate. Too wishy washy. Say what you mean so that you can have an honest discussion.

No actions to take noted on each point. No timelines. How do they intend to hold anyone to account??

They're just setting it up for future decisions to show they've consulted before deciding.

Who do these people represent?

I know Bason is ex Foxes Trust Chairman.

In those discussions there surely must have been some dissenting voices, they should publish who was for and against suggestions like the move to digital ticketing.

As the minutes state, there were 3 working groups.

The Foxes Trust wasn’t in the group discussing digital tickets, neither was UFS.

That’s ok, albeit a very “not my job mate” approach to being challenged. What are your thoughts on those issues raised on here?

A reminder for everyone that you gave up trying to actually affect the trust and then also bailed on the reform group. But you're happy to give it the biggun on here.

Yes buddy! Don’t forget 10 years of service in the game we all adore. Did I ever mention that?

Did you apply to the FAB?

Hey again LC1884FC “giving it the biggun” (is that how you say it?) behind an alias.

Are we turning this into a Q&A for me?

No I didn’t. There would’ve been very little point based on the cleanliness of their desire for folk that had never upset the club. Having previously been threatened with a ban for questioning the clubs processes (online and directly with them) on FE it wouldn’t have been something they would have entertained.

There’s also the logistics of where I live which wouldn’t have worked so well for attending meetings.

Hope that helps with your frustrations.

So you're happy to accuse others of a "not my job" attitude, and yet you do absolutely nothing yourself to try and improve things, despite boasting about your experience doing exactly this

And it's not a Q&A, if you wanted another ego massage you could go on another podcast

You’re too cute.

I just email the club if I want something answering.
I also pay money to the trust and have the right to ask questions. I spoke with Lynn the other week about a few concerns and speak to others there and in other groups.

Sorry any media presence past or recent annoys you. Thanks for listening to the podcast if you did. It was nice to be invited on.

Have a good weekend 🦊

So let’s be clear Leicester City Football Club no longer has any control over the Digital Ticketing conversation as long as they play in the Premier League it is now a compliance issue. In June 2024 the EPL Board as announced August 2nd 2024 that by August 2026 all tickets in the EPL will be digital. No more discussion. Away supporters tickets to be digital by next season. Promoted clubs get 2 years to comply. In that announcement clubs had to discuss roadmaps with fans which is what it seems is being done. The discussion is pace and exceptions. What was not announced was what full digital means and what concessions. I have heard that 75% plus is the EPL target for next season whether that is accurate I can find no documentation but it seems likely. The discussion for us now is the extent of concessions. If we focus on we do not like the decision we will achieve nothing the EPL is not going to reverse hence I believe the word acceptance.
