Leicester Comedy Festival 2025

I went to John Robertson at the Y theatre last Friday. It was totally weird, good experience

Only Sarah Pascal on Saturday this year so far, should be good, oh and the opening night at demontfort which wasn't as good as previous years.

The most under the radar big comedy festival in the world? 

 

Suppose this suffers from all of the fearmongering surrounding visiting the city. Should be absolutely rammed.

I saw Sean Walsh at the Black Horse in Aylestone the other day and it was one of the best comedy gigs I’ve been to.

 

I told him this on Instagram, and then told him it was actually the first ever comedy gig I’d been to and this was his reply. Not just an excellent comedian, an excellent judge of character.

If the comedians, who have to shell out in advance for hotels, travel & expenses etc.haven't been paid, what hope is there for the future of this popular & once very well run festival?

Can't see too many comics wanting to appear in next year's festival if they're going to lose out financially.

 

Has it got too big?

 

Are the team running it similar to the administration at LeicesterCity?

 

Or is it that there is so much red tape in the modern way of organisation that no one has a clue?
