I appreciate your post, however with other clubs (I have Everton under Kenwright/Moshiri in mind) the contents of those conversations would be publicised, through official means or unofficial, by the supporters groups whether the club directors/FAB liked it or not

Be good if you can PM or link any example

I’ll step in here and I might get told off but I want people to understand the thinking and provide some context. I’m genuinely interested as a new board member to understand motives and get the feedback in how people want the Trust to follow.

The Trust contacted the club post Fulham home with a whole series of concerns. I can vouch that these concerns were pretty much monumentally shared by the fanbase. PSR, strategy, planning etc.

As a result of that contact, the opportunity to have a meeting and conversations opened up. It’s highly frustrating that the nature of FAB means the content of those conversations have to remain private.

The board felt that there was a need to illustrate that the Trust was holding the club to account. Now there’s a whole argument about the balancing act of maintaining communication with the club and not. It’s a thorny subject where you can argue either way.

Retrospectively the timing is clumsy and off but we wanted to give an update as opposed to silence when the accusation is often the Trust are doing nothing.

Genuinely I want to hear people’s views but I want people to understand that there’s a genuine attempt to get over the feeling of the fanbase to the club.

As a new board member, it’s an area which massively needs improving that engagement of its own members, making sure you are heard, happy to be PM’d here.

Appreciate you coming to explain and give us some insight.

I think some of the cynicism from my end at least is just the foxes trust historically has failed in its job, so it might take some time to turn that perception around and also we need to see things actually change, some real meaningful action from the club. Which I know is a tough ask under the current regime.

I don't fully understand the FAB rules, but I don't understand how a fan group holding their club to task over performance needs/warrants such levels of confidentiality, transparency and accountability are paramount when it comes to topics like this. Again I appreciate it's not fully in your control.

Appreciate that.

I have privately said there’s a big onus on me and others whom have come from reform onto the board to illustrate some kind of change for a whole raft of reasons. We also need keep the fresh blood coming.

Id say one of the big factors is a lack of direct discussion and engagement with members. There’s things I want to do to change that.

That can be effectively changed if people want to put the time and effort into it.

It's got the wrong people in it. Difficult to get those out as they've had their feet under the rug for so long.

EDIT - have just read your previous posts. Thanks for your transparency mate so far.

I've said for years we should on here be without doubt forming a fan group. We are the largest community of Leicester fans.

I'd be more than happy to look at establishing it.

Go on then. Won't happen in a million years. Oh, incidentally, as people have told you on here over and over again you can't sue the owners of the club for banning people.

No offence as I like you as a poster but this is just a load of word salad.

The foxes trust credibility is at its lowest and stuff like this plunge people’s opinions even lower - naff statements  - you get more transparency out of a FTSE 100 company than this.

Ran by people who have no idea how to run their own bath, and board members who have as much experience as my left toe.

Fair enough.

Id welcome to hear how people think it should be done differently.

Me and RYM consistently exchange opinions and that’s healthy because it gives me an another view.

As for the latter, that’s dictated by those who make themselves available. Like a lot of fan organisations. Please put the membership forms for your left toe in though

Yes it will take time, by all accounts, and these are my words not yours 😅 but alot of the "old school" foxestrust have been coasting for too long and somewhere along the way seem to have forgotten their job is to represent the fans, challenge the club, hold them too account. "The board" for lack of better terminology have been sat too comfortably unchallenged for so long, they to have forgotten what it's all about.

There was and still is a campaign to change that though. When the option was given, to alter that there was not enough votes to

make changes to that

It’s why tomorrow is a welcome change to see people showing some energy to a cause

I agree.

Thanks for your transparency this evening mate. If the group has a few more members like you, things will be changing for the better!

I think for a very long time, the Foxes trust has been a very closed book, very much in their own little clique and not wanting to upset their standing with the club, whatever that might be. Only recently since they’ve had a bit of a shake up have we heard more from them.

Some people had a conversation

Nobody is allowed to know what they said

The end

Very similar to the club publicly saying they show the fans their finances when the reality was they only showed Ian Basin but he wasn’t allowed to tell or show anyone else at the trust 🤣. Yes that’s a thing.

It's all utter nonsense when it's behind closed doors and subject to gagging orders. If it can't be said publicly it isn't worth saying at all.

Ignore this nonsense and continue on with having your voices heard, in public. Protests are the only way real change can occur.
