I’ve never understood how KP have made so much money selling cheap fags, my boyfriend Gary has been doing it since he left school and he’s only got a 57 plate Focus and a room in an HMO.

I almost feel like King Power is basically a Thilabd based Temu when you look at the state of the website and tat they sell.

Yup, me too - hence the state of the club shop merch!

They’ve made $Billions out of overpriced dried mango (their equivalent of a big Toblerone in European airports in the ‘90s).

But times move on, customers become more savvy, and the halcyon days of the big Toblerone / dried mango are fading!!

The Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation is delighted and honoured to announce King Power as it's chosen charity of choice for the 2026 season.

I had a major allergic reaction in Thailand back in 2010 and the doctor who came out to my hotel with one of them fishing tackle boxes of drugs said she'd prescribed me anthrax. I'd misheard her as she was giving me a fast action jab of it and it was instead atarax.

I understand the worry.

Anyone ever worked out how many toblerones KP must've flogged to make billions?

Say 20 USD average spend per punter. 31 million outbound passengers annually. Say 1 in 10 passengers buy at the duty free.

So 3 million toblerones at 20 dollars a pop a year. That's 60 million dollars. Less wholesale cost of toblerone from the cash and carry. Less rent to Bangkok Airport. Less staffing. Less the cost of that absurd skyscraper of theirs. Hmmmmmm

I didn't know they had a skyscraper. Just Googled it. It looks to be in the same state as the football club.

King Powers declared revenue is only around 1.5 billion a year (all public on Thai government websites)

The company that runs world duty free ( a much more prominent brand than King Power) is turning over around 6 billion a year

Sports Direct for comparison turn over 5 billion per year

M&S turnover 13 billion a year

King Power isn’t really that big at all even in Thailand

Would also add the much maligned Chansiri’s business in Thailand generates more revenue than King Power

To be fair there’s a bit of a difference between being one of the worlds biggest producers of canned tuna and owning a few duty free shops lol

bare in mind that the cost of goods  is much cheaper in Thailand than the UK. Youda probably need sell 5 fold the products in Thailand to get to 1.5bn revenue than you would in the UK
