Remember the days when we dreaded the transfer window because they'd come for our stars to, please come and take them 🤷‍♂️

Angel Gomes and Adam Armstrong is quite the duo of additions towards Wolves championship title charge next year.

That would make sense then. Thought he was gonna end up having a cigar on for 46 games.

A truly bizarre signing nevertheless. He'll have load of offers permanently if people know now he wants out of the French League!

Coventry getting Frank Onyeka makes me sick. These are the players we should be going for not them!!! But no, let's get a Southampton reject. How the tables have turned

Puts him in the shop window for a premier league move in the summer I guess.

You mean like he didn't get last season when he was a free agent?

He wasn't a free agent basically ever btw. End of contract he moved from Lille to Marseille!

Sooooo because someone moved on a free they aren't desirable, is that what you're getting at? I'm not sure your point. Mbappe moved to Madrid on a free.

I thought it was obvious what the point was.  You said he'd have loads of offers if people thought he wanted out of the French league, yet last season when he was available for nowt he just went from one Ligue 1 also ran to another.

Presumably he's either not well regarded or he's priced himself out of moves with wage/signing demands.

Is he someone you would really have liked to see staying with us beyond the summer?

Coventry have an obligation to buy (if promoted) they might even have agreed to start him as part of the deal given he's still contracted with Brentford up to summer 2027 & therefore they would want him in the shop window. Given Coventry have agreed the obligation they will most likely use him as a starter, is he head & shoulders better above what they have or is he just there as competition & older head.

We have signed Aribo for the final few mths of his contract with no obligations, we will use him as back up until the likes of James, Ramsey return & these kids from Man C / Chelsea show they have it & we will let him walk way in 17 games time & then look to pay for someone who we do see as a starter for next season, like James.
I'd rather that then be saddled with another soon to be 30yr (after next season starts) who won't be a starter for us.

Hull have released Brandon Williams...

He's managed a full five mins of competitive action this season.

One of the reasons he refused to sign a new contract with us and eventually left was our refusal to pay him £100k+ per week. Way too much for his limited impact.

Well if he's managed to be competitive for 5 minutes, he's outperforming our options.

John Arias Wolves sale, another peculiarly high fee for a misfiring misfit to a Brazilian club.

Not really.

He was very successful in the Brazilian league including being in the team of the tournament in the Club World Cup with Fluminense.

No surprise another Brazilian club was willing to pay through the nose for him. We made about 50% profit or about £7m. Hardly big money.

I think it’s a stinky fee, just like Paqueta.

You signed him for 14m, he’s been a flop…turns 29 this year so no resale value and yet some SA Club comes and slaps 21m on your laps😂

He wasn't a flop in Brazil though, which is where he's going to play. That's the point.
