How do Blackburn afford a £3.5 million striker ?

Over 4-5 years it's only £500-750k in amortisation so not really a major outlay for Championship clubs, even crap ones. Only extremely badly run clubs like us due to obscene wages cannot pay for players currently.

Facundo to Leeds on loan

What a bizarre move by a bizarre club for Chelsea to hijack that move in the summer. And for Buonanotte to accept - did he not understand exactly what would happen?

He has a real opportunity at Leeds. They're going well but in desperate need of a creative #10/RW type to guarantee safety.

He's a really good player.

We criminally underused him.

Can only dream of having a number 10 like him now.

The same player who consistently held onto the ball for far too long & inevitably lost it? Massively overrated.

Disagree. He's not Messi, but he is a decent number 10. I'd wager that he goes on to prove this at Leeds.

Probably held onto it for too long because the alternative was akin to taking your foot of a landmine...

I personally think he should have stayed at Brighton.

He's not good enough to make a difference in a poor side as we saw but I do think would be able to flourish at a mid-table team.

Him being on the floor every 5 seconds will wind the Leeds fans up.

I do concede that he needs to bulk up a bit, but he is only 21. More prem games he gets, he'll get stronger. He's got good feet. I'll always love him for that equalizer against Forest, right in front of me.

I guess we need more outgoings before we can move in this window.

Wasn’t exactly spending when they had a sponsor, so wouldn’t get your hopes up

Cifuentes said that was not the case last week. We don't need to sell to buy.

Ha maybe that's what he's been told. The board seems to have lied to all our managers since Rodgers

Van Nistelrooy when asked last season at the start of Jan window if there was money to spend said yes. That was obviously not the case.

These managers are either being told to follow the party line or not being told the truth.

16 days in an even Sheff Wed on minus **** knows are doing business. We need to sell to buy - which is scary given how much we pulled in during the summer

True but he did say in the summer we needed to move players on before we considered any incomings and thats whay happened. I'm not naive, I doubt we sign more than 1, if any but that's as much through incompetence than because we do in fact need to get rid before signing anyone and are being economical with the truth.

The only thing keeping me sane with regards to this club is your rants on the podcast. In fact I need you to be even more ranty in the next few weeks.

I'd rather we didn’t spend a bean until we get a new Chief Executive and Technical Director in.

Sit tight, develop Nelson, Page, Monga, Balde, Evans, Alves, Braybrooke and others.

Only money I'd like us to spend is on JJ.

There's an argument towards this, but I'm a bit worried our young players are over hyped. The U21s have finished the last three seasons 10th, 20th and bottom.

Toronto almost 16m for a bang average championship striker

Similar fee to Latte Lath last season isn't it?

I guess Sargent becomes the marquee player or whatever the fxxk they call it that isn't salary capped.

A lot of average Championship clubs would love to have a striker with 63 goal contributions in 121 matches.

Sargent isn’t bang average is he. He’s exactly the striker most championship clubs would want. He’ll probably get a goal a game in the MLS!
