Need to ask a genuine question.

If a big ass bully (who's known to bully lots of different children) attacks another child at school, should the teachers and headmaster talk to the other bullied child to tell him to back down and give up to the bully? Is that the right way around?

I think I’m going to regret engaging in this but hey ho

Did the other kid who was attacked have a ten inch knife hidden in his trousers and had he made lots of threats against the ‘big ass bully’’ ?  (Including paying some of his mates to actually punch the bully on many occasions). If so, then it becomes rather more nuanced.

What if that is just what the big bully wants his teachers and fellow students to believe, where as possibly in reality the other kid didn't even have a nail file? But all whilst the Big bully actually had a 15 inch sword out in the open?

It's good to have a discussion about bullying, engaging in this type of conversation is healthy I would say as long as it doesn't get personal.

Oh you’re good at this 😄

but the other kid actually had a knife holder strapped to his leg - seems odd to do that unless you were going to actually carry a knife at some point ??

and the big bully had got some of the friends of the kid who was attacked to let him know what the kid was intending to do.   The teachers asked these kids and the bully to produce that evidence but of course they wouldn’t do that or everyone would know how the bully was operating and who the others were.

:D - ok but.....

Is it ok that the Big Bully then went ahead and beat up the kid because of heresy? Without real proof, why should the kid have to prove himself? The fact being, who made the big bully the ruler of the school, what gives the big bully the right to have his own sword but not let anyone else have even a pen knife? (Don't get me wrong, knife crime is wrong and no-one should have any sort of knife at all, otherwise where is the hope for the student population)

How do we define ‘heresay’?

I'm intrigued by the German teachers attitude to this.  There was a similar problem twenty odd years ago with another kid (who actually had attacked other kids rather than paying others to do it) - at that time the German and French teachers wouldn’t get involved. This time the German teacher has supported the bully- I’ve heard that the bully showed the German teacher his ‘homework’ but wouldn’t share it with the French and English teachers cos he doesn’t trust them - he used to.

and very important to remember that twenty years ago, there was some dodgy homework going around the school which turned out to be fake - that did a lot of damage for trust in teachers.

Oh don't get me started on German teachers - Ich konnte ihnen nicht trauen, so weit ich sie werfen konnte - especially the current regime

Don't forget - the bully could have shown anyone his homework, however if the homework was all based on lies and made up stories, then surely that's a fiction book rather than a factual documentary.

I think we could both agree, the 2 "Students" are just out for themselves, the Teachers and staff are really pulling the strings and whoever's side you believe to be right (let's face it, both kids are spotty nosed, compulsive liars) both will just destroy the school. The other kids in the school will lose out. It the biggest shame with society, both claiming that their argument is right and there are only 2 sides. Where as the third side is the side who just want to go to school to educate themselves and play with other kids. That third side is being drowned out, being made to think that there is no third side. Ultimately it's probably down to someone wanting to get all the V-Bucks in the world for themselves.

Where do catapults fit in with this scenario?

Oh you mean these things? I guess the big bully has them all but doesn't want any of the other kids to have any

Who needs a knife being hit with a stringed conker on your head is no fun I can tell you.

Anyway,  interesting that yesterday evenings noise from the whitehouse was that Vance was one of the two ‘grown ups’ in the room who argued for more diplomacy.

he is actually a politician - an unpleasant one but he seems to have his principles whereas the orangeman goes with his gut (and most importantly where the kudos is).

I also see that at a time of heightened global tensions (perhaps higher than for many decades), an e scooter is the best way to illegally access an RAF base in the U.K.

Do we expect to be taken seriously on the world stage ??

What if the other kids have made the wooden handle but haven't got the rubber bands yet?

Would the big bully let them keep the handles?

With just a wooden handle - it's just a glorified toothpick. I reckon the big bully would just confiscate all the rubber bands in the school for himself. The more important question is, why shouldn't the other kids have the rubber bands if the big bully has gone one of the biggest and strongest rubber bands out there? At least they can attempt to fight back if the big bully did decide to steal the kids pocket money with his big bad sling shot.

Vance is a true America first purist, Trump is a Trump first purist. Both are terrible but obviously one is better than the alternative.

Odds on Vance being president before nov 2028?

Will be interesting to see if the news focuses on the ‘protest’ part over the fact that this is such a monumental failure of security, especially given what happened on the Russian airfield just three weeks ago.

I would have thought that the name of the protesters is enough ?

the British govt will not disclose what our planes are doing out of Akrotiri.  We can be pretty sure that neither the Americans or the Isr’s (shortened to avoid mod approval as not a controversial point )  need British help to monitor what’s going on across the Mid East.  If we are flying across areas and taking images then it’s so we have our own info on what’s happening rather than relying on others.

Whats worse is they got away and no one knows who they are.

Its a red flag to Russia to start wandering round airfields. I saw @st albans fox comment and assumed they had been on a backwater base where barely anything goes on. But Brize is major stuff, its one of the busiest air bases we have left.

A pathetic lack of security. I thought this sort of base should be guarded by the RAF Regiment.

Probably not, unless something happens that either completely removes Trump from play or he somehow manages to neutralise the cult of personality around him.

No idea. No other route to that other that the obvious one because he's clearly not getting impeached, so I guess 20's given his general health?

I don’t think a Trump medical episode can be completely out of the question. He’s old, it’s a stressful job, he’s overweight for his age, he clearly takes some kind of stimulants etc. A stroke or heart attack that takes him out of action can’t be far off.
