We are clearly shopping in the bargain basement. So highly likely our search will be based on free agents, players approaching the final 12 months of their contract and players with a specified release clause fee. 
 

this is where this lad fits the bill as his contract expires next season and he has a release clause fee, we will no doubt made initial enquiries about 100’s of players and most won’t ever be pursued or will we ever hear about it, however in some instances the selling club or players agent will publicise it or leak it to a journalist to help flush out other interest or to try and force the hand of a genuinely interested club to meet wage demands or to hurry a move along.

Have a feeling he's a spoilt little b*****d, did same at Boro didn't he? Started great and fizzled out. Thought it was just because he wasn't consistent but maybe he's a sulky shit.

WE clearly aren't doing anything. His agent is shopping him around.

 

I haven't been this sure we're not signing someone since I deleted about 50 threads about Alan Nixon claiming we were making Jordan ****ing Ayew our main attacking transfer of the summer.

Don't know much about how good he is but seems to tick 3 boxes in being young, inexpensive and versatile. 

 

Would be helpful if he was good at football as well. Fingers crossed

Whilst I’ll certainly agree that Greenwood is a distinctly underwhelming potential signing, I’d still rather have him than Patson Daka.
