Weren't we saying the same a couple of years ago?

If the strikers took their chances we'd be screwed.

When we get to the premier league the strikers will finish these chances and we will get relegated.

All came true

Yeah of course, it’s the harsh reality of football. We’re worse than a couple of years ago unfortunately.

Not a convincing win at all yesterday and Charlton deserved at least a point if not all three. Great performance by Stolarczyk though.

Agree we weren’t convincing, but hard to agree Charlton “deserved” points. If you are unable to convert your chances you deserve nothing. Of course Charlton did convert one chance but was disallowed because that Coventry chappie thought the game was rugby.

I bet two Charlton full backs are sore today after kicking our wingers throughout

Thought Charlton played like a load of thugs.  The defence played like they were auditioning for "Gladiators",  the midfield liked our new kit so much they kept trying to remove it from our players during the match, and the forwards were all hit and hope.  Oh, and Nathan Bloody Jones thinks he's the new Mourinho, and that all he has to do get in the face of the officials, and then give a stupid interview to the media after the match.

Depends on which way you look at it. If the game had played out in the opposite way, I would have been very disappointed to come away without any points to show for the performance. However, agree in that it ultimately comes down to chance conversion.

I remember when we signed him and a lot of Palace fans were talking about his ability to win free kicks, but I didn't realise it was his only thing. You can see the cogs in his head turn when he gets the ball: "right, get myself between the ball and opponent, now fall over".

Winning free kicks is one thing.... having the ability to deliver from that free kick is something totally differently ... and we do not have that
