It’s a good win against a promoted team. The championship is all about bagging 3 points it’s when you have 4 draws on the spin when you start to ask questions. On to the next one, just need a couple of fresh faces in

Okoli has some (serious) distribution issues for sure.  But he was very physical and aerially did well against a tough Charlton side.  Don't agree at all that he had a shocker, second half in particular he was very good.  I think he'll grow into the side.

There were at least 4 occasions where he gave the ball away in key areas. Physically he is strong but today he was a liability

He scared me as much as Faes ever has today.

I think he could come good though…still very young.

That was grim. Aside from Fatwau producing Premier League class, we were bested by a bottom half team.

Marti ending the game defensively again in a minor red flag.

Not seeing much to be positive about aside from use of academy lads.

Literally every league is about bagging 3 points isn't it? lol

Has Jones always been a bellend lol

I get that he thinks they could have won (5-1 is pushing it).

But the 'goal' was never going to be one because the ref blew for holding on our player before their guy even headed it lol

He was furious on the touchline as well. Maybe have a look at how their CB (Jones?) was lucky not to have had 2 yellows too...

Prop smash and grab

Drsperatley need a good box to box midfielder and a creative one to play behind a striker.

Although we kept a clean sheet the feeling of vesty will get outpaced or okoli is going to pas it their team is not one i want to feel every game

He's a massive knob, I might hate this guy more than Brendan. But Charlton can feel hard done to.

Was never a foul to be fair haha.

We are good at diving, ill give us that

100%. Even taking lcfc bias out of it, Jones threw his marker to the floor. Blatant foul.

blatant foul, rightfully disallowed  and i say that as a lcfc fan who can`t believe we took 3 points on that showing, worst first half i`ve ever seen, better in the second half but still created virtually nothing.

Nathan Jones says...

On the disallowed goal: "It's a fairytale, a Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, an absolute fairytale. We caused them so many problems from set plays and that was another one.

They were released from jail by an individual that I just can't comment on."

Oh dear

Not in the game today and in terms of moving infield to support Ayews hold up play, yes today he was a lemon, overall i really rate him, but he has a lot to learn

I think he often holds on to the ball too long, but that really is a product of youth, over confidence.

I've probably missed a few out, but its strange to see that the team below along with the subs further down did not start today's match.

I know "minor knocks" is an excuse to omit players who may be transferred with the 7 I've put in Bold every chance of leaving but the squad on paper must be good enough to win a very poor Championship this season. Lets see how many of these lot are left and how many come in over the next week or so!

                       Begovic

Justin - Faes - Nelson - Kristensen

Riccardo - Winks - Braybrooke -  Mavididi

                        Bilal

                        Daka

(Coulibaly - Souttar - Aluko- Cordova Reid -  Golding - Alves - Marcal - Silko -  Evans - )

and another deluded sole

the team is honking, the academy kids arent up to this standard (monga apart)

they need shipping out on loan to gain experience

we are in a world of trouble.

We will lose more players (2 from mavs  bek and fatawu) and bring no one in

Aren’t you cheerful!

Not sure what team we’ll have left if we shipped them out and sold players! The youth are getting plenty of experience at this rate :P

Stuff is far from great, but I’m still going to enjoy the win, the brilliant goal and the excellent save.

People have to realise it's not easy to get out of this league. We're not going to boss every game we play this season and will need to ride our luck. Performances can improve but 6 points from our first 3 is a decent return. Keep that up we get promoted.

We were pretty crap but also resilient! I can understand why, we’ve lost loads of key players and most guys starting are from our academy and then we’re up against a team riding high and have signed several players.

There manager needs to calm down a bit, it was 1000% a free kick.

Put £10 on us to get relegated.

Despite us winning.

What more can I say.

You could say you threw £10 in the bin?

Good to see the youngsters but Soumare and Skipp must be great for midfield opponents to line up against. Good to see Louis Page taking risks. Jacob, Chowdhury and Luke Thomas did ok. Overall, a top half finish would be an achievement on today's showing.

Page would have learned a huge amount from this game. He made mistakes yet wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Actually felt he was growing more into the game just before he was subbed off but think that was fair enough. Maybe i need to lay off the sauce but i don't think we really missed BEK in the grand scheme of things (other than the flashiness). I hope Page continues to get chances, as starting a game is significantly harder than coming on and playing against tired legs.

Interesting that Silko got some time rather than Alves. Was really hoping to see Alves as he featured quite a lot on the training videos.
