The football has been hopeless, terrible tactics with our players, needs to sort a system out instead of trying to copy enzo ball

Of all the criticisms in the world “copying Enzo ball” is the last one I’d choose to describe our tactics

Still playing out from the back though wasn't it

I think we’re having different interpretations of this

Vardy’s goal v QPR in 2014 was also playing out from the back by your interpretation

Surely the defence is? We can’t defend the transition against any kind of half decent quality. Thomas needs replacing desperately, and I’m not sold on that CB paring. Okoli concerns me, last ditch tackle and clearances won’t make up for his lack of ability on the ball.

Our attack does need work, but I think for now there are goals in it, we just need to sort that defensive base out. And build from there. I’d ideally like a new spine. CB CM and striker, and then if we can get in a left back and potentially another CAM.

The defence is fine, Thomas looked our best defender the back end of last season so I think he will get better.

We need a striker and CM/AM

Hmmm, I don’t share your confidence. I thought Thomas was rancid today, beaten so easily, has no strength, no pace and little to no quality on the ball. He was getting caught out time and time again, it was a lack of quality that saved him. Very different story against Gray on Friday night, who will no doubt run him ragged.

He has been poor most of the time think he will get better though, championship teams are hardly the level we was facing last season

Talking to some Charlton fans after the game they were pleased with their own performance and expected more from us! I laughed ironically.

One moment of class was the difference. Okoli had a shocker, Winks was good in his limited time on and Daka ran hard and achieved very little.
We won though, which made the it all worthwhile .

A Charlton fan on train back was raving about how good our right back was.

Yep I was with my wife's charlton supporting family at the game.  Consensus was Hamza was brilliant, Ayew was a nuisance second half, Page got stuck in and they were all surprised how young he was.

Interesting to get a different perspective on things.

His block probably saved us drawing or losing the game and people want reactions Okoli and Vesterguard where buzzing

A grim watch because we are currently a grim team.

We desperately need additions to this squad. No excuse for not having a few loans at least.

Totally that was the highlight of the game other than the goal obviously. I was right behind the Leicester goal for that and I struggled not to get up and shout have that you cvnts.  Showed some real spirit that did.  We battled in that second half and Vesty actually won some headers.

Didn't see the game as I was working, but from that perspective:

- away win

- clean sheet

- wondergoal

- started five academy graduates(!)

- opposition started the season well

- taking opposition's long home unbeaten run

Came on here hoping to see some positivity but the posts are still toxic!

I get the performance may have been poor, but look on the bright side lads. The nihilism on here is off the charts lol

The way I see it he talks a lot of sense other than Fatawu’s shot we was powder puff , it’s amazing how people look at a passing comment in a different way , some fans just have to accept we’re shit .

Vesterguard has been class when he has played, fully committed

Wins a win but it was pretty dire and there's not much hope for the season looking at it. Ayew offers absolutely nothing if the ref doesn't fancy his "any physical contact is a foul" routine - the amount of times he'll hold on to the ball rather than release it to get an attack going, then throw himself down and complain it's not a free kick, I despair. Need rid of him and a striker who doesn't have the same skillset as picking the first bloke through the turnstiles each week. Skipp however was even worse, I cannot be doing with him playing week in week out. Needs arresting under the trades description act.

Actually started to see some players give a **** today. Soumare, Vestergaard, Winks all screaming at team mates for stupid passes/dallying on the ball.

May this be the start of a culture change.

Do you mean away in 2013?
