Think Mavididi, Faes and Okoli definitely go.

That’s good but needs to be more, Souttar and Choudhury need to go as well as a minimum. Otherwise i think we have similar issues to last season.

Think those two are the ones I’d have been most comfortable keeping at the start of the summer, if he doesn’t get a move Souttar will be playing for his career

If we can get 4 out of the 5 gone we have done well.

So who is currently remaining out of the high wage brigade?

Faes (all gone quiet)

Okoli (all gone quiet, weak links to Italy)

Souttar (Wrexham strongly linked)

Mavididi (gone quiet, weak Champ links)

Choudhury (looks set to leave for Sheff U)

Skipp (likey stuck with this turd)

any other high earners?

Probably unpopular opinion but I’ve been impressed with Souttar the last few games. Seems to be the only central defender willing to bring the ball back out of defence and he’s always looking to feed the ball through to the runs we make forward rather than going sideways or backwards.

Easily could of had a couple of assists yesterday.

Souttar was very solid yesterday and played two immense balls through the lines.

His ability to do so and now having someone in the pivot willing to do so in Page is the difference between our first 2 performances and our last 2 performances for me.

it’s a crazy comparison but the likes of teams such as Barca who managers like RM are obsessed with, often turnover the ball but by trying to feed balls through the lines with constant runners in behind. It’s essential for the system to work. That’s why I would keep Souttar personally.

On the topic of runners in behind, it has to be mentioned Bristric is really going to help this team, his constant runs in behind have allowed us more space in the final 3rd. He doesn’t stop moving.

Yesterday was the only game he has played since that disastrous Burton performance.

Surely you're not saying you were impressed with him against Burton.

Thought he was excellent yesterday totally different player to the first few games.

One of two things for me, he's gotten himself going after a short pre-season, some players need games.

Or with the move to Sheff U out the window due to their issues he's more settled.

Being at the game I actually thought he was solid, however, he I’m not going to ignore he was fully at fault for the goal. But his overall game I thought was okay.

To me he appears to be growing in confidence on the ball and I feel you can see an improvement from that perspective already.

We were not really put us under any pressure at the back by MK Dons so I’m not reading much into that performance. The next few games will be a better indicator of where we are defensively.
