Marcal signed a year extension so he should be available - not sure why he was offered one!

You can't build on shoddy foundations. The whole thing needs ripping up first else nothing will change. At best we'll have a false dawn next season

Defensively they’re really not. The worst defence on pretty much every metric apart from Sheff Weds’ defence.

 

Under Enzo they were more protected by N’Didi and KDH with Hermansen behind them to organise.

This is quite damning, unfortunately. Obviously unsustainable in League One. The revenue will take a right twatting.

They were the worst defence this season by every Metric

 

But my belief is this is not caused by ability - it is attitude! 

 

Which is why so many fans are so bitter about the players.

I am just hoping the action needed starts now! Not when everyone is back from holiday or the end of June when contracts expire. We need it to start happening now!

So board, directors, staff let's get negotiating deals to clear as many players out of the door as soon as possible. It's something we haven't done on previous seasons and it needs to change. Show us that the club mean business in the rebuilding process.

The sooner the decks are cleared then we can start to look at building a squad for next season. There must be nothing to distract from the club moving forward.

we basically need a no nonsense wont take any crap direct style football manager maybe someone Scottish in the Jock Wallace style. ideal oppounitity to play the likes of Monga where on low wages giving them a chance to shine (sell him would be pointless we wont get much at this stage and he wouldnt get much opoortunity to play yet at highrr level , unless we can do a sell but loan back for a season, also i think we coud get young quality premier loanee who will do well at league one level, be plenty of premier happy to farm out players to us and would see league and club set up as ideal learning curve for them.  

 

For me the biggest factor will be the manager we get and the difference between moving forward postively or more of the same , the mindset of squad has to be reset we have had two seasons of basically playing same way with the same mindset and results.

Top is getting a lot of noise but it’s the clowns running the show for him, both in the academy and senior contracts that are crippling the club. You can’t expect to go into League1 with a team of u21’s….

 

There’s no way that clubs are going to offer failed first team players, the sorts of wages that are being talked about and clubs are not going to offer to buy players for large fees, everyone  knows of the desperate position the club are in financially.

 

If Robert Huth had done his job as loans manager and Rudkin had any knowledge of how to develop young players (remember Shane Flynn’s interview), there  would be another half dozen players with EFL experience that would bolster next  seasons Young squad. Rudkin is more interested in his own self importance than the club.

 

League 1 is brutal in every way, it’s physical, pitches are brutal, refereeing is shocking…..it took Sunderland a number of seasons to get out. The club will need to sign a number of league 1 players to support the young lads. …….and with no money to do so.
