They've changed the website now, and away priority points are nowhere to be found; home priority points remain, however.

A change to the away ticket system coming? or am I missing something

Knowing our lot they have decided to do away with them and open it to all season ticket holders on the first day of sale resulting in a free for all.😀

Yes, a long overdue change is planned but not until the 2027/28 season.

I can see it. I had not closed a previous browser tab. I've refreshed it and the club has added the 50 away points for renewing my season ticket.

I still cannot find mine.

Is it on the main lcfc site or the ticket sub-site and on which menu?

Thanks

Sadly not. If I was I would have boosted my away points to over 700. Just lucky I had several tabs including that one I hadn’t closed.

For me it should be current season and 3 previous seasons. Too many young people are frozen out of going to away games.

I believe it will change for the 2027/28 season.

There have been many discussions within the club and with supporters’ representatives and ‘non-aligned’ supporters, at which one popular proposal was a 'rolling three year' attendance at Away games, with an emphasis of ‘attendance’ (as opposed to buying a ticket for the point then selling it!). I would support that proposal.

As I understand it this a similar process adopted by the FA for selling England tickets.

We will see….

Random ID Checks, for people to collect tickets at the away ground.

Previously when they did this approx. 30% of those selected for ID check did not collect 'their' tickets. Read into that you wish!

If that 30% is extrapolated into an away attendance of, for example, 3,000, then that equates to around 1,000 who have obtained a ticket not via the away priority scheme

Does anyone know how the points system works? I have just checked mine and I have 9 home points and 654 away points. As I rarely go to away games, usually at seaside, I would have thought that it would be the other way round. Probably just another LCFC website cock up.

50 away points per season for season tickets.

The cock up is giving ST holders added away priority every season without them having to go away.

You have someone who goes half the total games in a season, just at home and no away who gets better away points than someone who goes half the total games in a season but goes away within that.

Doesn't seem fair. Plus the ST holder can just jump in on the good games or offload them to someone else.

I expect the '50 points per year for a Home season ticket' is one of the elements that will change for the 2027/28 season.

However, we are diverting from the original topic of this thread which was we could not see our away points allocation on the LCFC website, an issue which now appears to be resolved.

No doubt, if and when, the away priority points system is changed this forum will probably crash!! :D

For away they give 50 points when purchase a season ticket, then 1 point for away ticket purchased. When we were in the champions league for those who bought the package in advance of the draw being made we got 30 away points awarded. For home they give 1 point for home ticket purchased - leave or cup, for people that RENEW their membership they get 10 points.  Before the start of the 23/24 season the club offered a sweetener where people who cancelled their season ticket after being relegated from the premier league in 22/23 if they purchased a season ticket before a certain date they got 30 home points. When we them won the championship this in part contributed to the home points needed to be successful in season ticket ballot being as high as 51 points. The highest I’ve ever seen it. The following season only 20 points were needed.

Why would you need home points if you're a STH?

I hope they do find  a way of ensuring only those who are entitled to travel away do so,  ID checks or another method,  but watch this forum explode with rage whatever system is used.
