Agreed, Okoli is not a Footballer like Aluko,  At this level he'll be fine and hopefully will improve over the season. Souttar is a liability if he keeps performing like today.

Maybe is just rust being out so long. Let's hope so anyway becuase we've noone else to play there.

Well that was disappointing, we definitely have some room for improvements. Positives for me were Braybrook, JJ, & Watson. Defence looks as shaky as ever. 
Not sure whether the performance or the sunstroke was worse.

I think we are going to concede a lot of frustrating, soft goals this season.

 

Okoli isn't suitable for a Martin team, he is too clumsy and not good enough on the ball.

 

We are unsurprisingly, not ready, and won't really be until the transfer window is shut.

 

I think we will have a similar season to Southampton in 23/24, we will start slowly and ultimately when it clicks, and it most likely will, we'll make a run and end up in the playoffs. Ruling us out of an automatic challenge for now as there is too much uncertainty around the squad at the moment.

I think the reaction from some is a bit OTT.

 

Not that it was good, but it was clear that quite a few were getting up to speed.

 

I was impressed with us off the ball, braybrooke looked excellent, Joseph played well.

 

I thought souttar was cut above, but he definitely wasnt 100% at it.

 

Mavididi was awful, I hope someone comes in for him. Okoli worries me playing out of the back, he just cant do it, so many dreadful passes.

 

Sign a CB or 2, keep souttar, find a striker and give the team time to get used to it, I still think we can have a good season. I am not convinced Martins football is going to work when we play teams that are better than us, but for this season at least it should be ok.

Basically the new replacements are no better than the ones they replaced. Realistically if they were any good their old clubs would not have sold or released them

Souttar was a cut above yet gives the striker a golden opporutnity, Okoli makes two mis placed passes and he is a worry

Well Okoli's was more of a fundamental issue to playing this type of football....hence its a worry...souttars was more of he was a bit lazy at points, but he cleaned up pretty much everything, I am assuming, hes probably held back a bit because of the transfer rumours, but after the first pass he was good in possession.

In his 15 mins, Aluko looked so exciting, he needs to start, even if it's at centre back. JJ was solid but not dynamic like Aluko
