McCarthy - 4 - Didn't have many saves to make but his distribution was poor. Flapped at a few too.

Joseph - 8 - Really solid game. Very excited for him because he looks like he's got potential to play in higher leagues.

Okoli - 5 - Better of two poor centre backs. Used his physicality well but hes frighteningly bad on the ball

Souttar - 4 - Embarrassing performance for someone supposedly worth 10m. Sell him tonight.

Thomas - 2 - Persistently sinks to new lows. Cannot do anything you'd want a professional to do.

Skipp - 3 - Everything is so slow through him and he made basic errors all game.

Braybrooke - 6 - Playing with Skipp didn't do him many favours and it was probably too physical a game for him.

Alves - 9 - Had the right back on toast all game. Really harsh booking didn't help him.

Cullen - 2 - Genuinely don't know what he offers.

Burns - 5 - Fairly meh. Beat the fullback a few times probably didn't get involved enough.

Reid - 3 - Looked better in the 10 when he was doing Cullen's job but he's so poor.

Don’t rate the keeper, don’t like Thomas - looks unfit and would struggle at Anstey Town, I don’t like the partnership of Okoli and Souttar. Neither are good enough on the ball. Souttar stopping when he wanted offside was absolutely schoolboy. Don’t like Skipp’s lack of pace, slow reaction tine and the lack of pace on his passes. Don’t like the fact that his backup is Hamza. Wasn’t encouraged by Burns - a pace merchant with apparently no pace, Cullen and BDCR are both lightweight absolute non entities. The only real positives for me were JJ, Braybrooke and Alves. Easily our 3 best players

Certainly JJ & Braybrooke looked the best for me, the rest look very disjointed.  We lack creativity and  punch up front, BUT its one game.

Defence is poor McCarthy, doesn't look much better than Stolarcyk, Thomas, just adjusts to the Level he plays at, e.g. League 1. when the ball is played to him, unless in front of him , he ALWAYS passes it back due to his body position, he's physically weak and actually can't really defend very well.

Souttar looks poor on the ball and Okoli is just a car crash, who spotted this fraud, its just criminal for what we paid for him, and his passing drops others in it.

Give the transfer/loan newbies some more games.

Looked very similar to what we have seen for the last years, there are changes though, out and in, hope we don't take too long to hit the ground running.

All this rubbish about needing experienced players. What do Burns, Cullen and Bobby offer over Carr, Page and Otchere?

Alves MOM, Braybrooke, and Joseph did well, good goal by Joseph, Reid is a waste of time up front, and drops too deep, Cullen, l forgot he was playing, Thomas had a poor game, McCarthy thought he made some good saves, didn't look great, and passing was awfull.

Might have been mentioned already in another thread but that left footed cross field ball from Braybrooke to Burns that set up the chance Bobby should have scored was outrageous. Running the opposite direction and on his weaker foot.
 

Looks like the player with the most individual quality in the squad, really hope he stays fit and can show it this season for us. Been a long time coming
