Joey's uncle Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Van Gaal said "he'll improve our midfield"
Monk Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Van Gaal said "he'll improve our midfield" Disappointed, but not suprised. Hopefully having him round til the end of the season will help the fight.
adam Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 wan ker. Should be left out of the team now. Only need players who are 100% commited to the cause. If you know your moving clubs in july you cant be that focused on your curent club!

If you know your moving clubs in july you cant be that focused on your curent club! Can't argue with that. You are right commitment is what we need. Especially in midfield where we need to be prepared to shed blood for EVERY 50-50 ball. Going in for EVERY tackle. Though given the terms of this contract I imagine he's staying for now either because of deadline day or because he wants to help us. I dont know the answer to that one
coale39 Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 he will leave for a free in the summer i think!
andyh1884 Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Wolves fans reckon Miller's shown absolutely no interest since signing his pre-contract agreement with celtic. Let's hope joey doesn't go the same way but if he plays on saturday, his performance should be a good indicator as to whether he's gonna make the effort for the rest of the season
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Van Gaal said "he'll improve our midfield" Wheres ur evidence.
Joey's uncle Posted 2 February 2006 Author Posted 2 February 2006 One of the stories about this that have been reported this morning, translation: Johannes Karl to AZ in the summer (Confirmed) Leicester midfielder Johannes Karl Gudjonsson has signed a four year contract with dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar and will join when his contract with Leicester expires. “I’ve undergone a medical and signed the contract. I hope I will not be benched at Leicester because I want to do my very best in keeping us up, its a great club with great fans who deserve better. Unfortunatly I will not be needed after this season so I had to consider my options.†Said Gudjonsson to Morgunbladid. The other half of the story does not concern Leicester. http://www.fotbolti.net/fullStory.php?id=32308
Monk Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Wheres ur evidence. What? That Van Gaal said that or that he actually will improve their midfield. I doubt both.

And who told him this?
Frenzied Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 I actually don't think he'll be that great a loss. He's certainly not a better player than Hughes, Wesolowski or Williams (on a good day).
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Im afraid im going to need evidence in English not your dodgy translations Its probabley a article informing all of Joeys fans what his faviourate food is.
Darth Fox Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 wan ker. Should be left out of the team now. Only need players who are 100% commited to the cause. If you know your moving clubs in july you cant be that focused on your curent club! You can hardly blame Joey or drop him. Anyone in his situation would've done the same. Ajax are a massive club in comparison to Leicester.

Darth Fox Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Shame he's off to AZ Alkmaar then.... Oops! God I'm not awake yet! What a numptie I am! Oh well they are in top league in Holland so still makes sense for him to leave Foxes at end of season.
Babylon Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 EH? why will he not be needed? And who told him this? Chances are we couldn't afford his wages with the parachute payments running out in the summer.
Strokes Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Chances are we couldn't afford his wages with the parachute payments running out in the summer. Yeah, bet he was on fairly big wages, as MA signed him.
Anish Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Disappointed, but not surprised. We should have enough cover without him so he won't be a great loss.
wonderboy Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Disappointed, but not surprised. We should have enough cover without him so he won't be a great loss. we have weso to replace him and if we can keep hold of williams then it aint too bad.
Phube Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Hey, he'll get to play against De Vries again... How lovely that will be!!!
The Bigman Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 HaHaHa just had it translated. It say's in a nutshell. In for a hard fight untill the end of season. Joey going nowhere
Muz Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Ah well. Joey has done well this year but with Weso coming through its not that much of a blow. Hughes and Weso in the centre of the park will do me fine
Gené and Tonic Posted 2 February 2006 Posted 2 February 2006 Agreed Muz. That is hopefully the future
