trueblue1 Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 And I suggested people could buy more pies and you couldn't accept that. I have said I DOUBT it would happen. Now that is not denying it could happen now is it!!!!!!!!!! It is expressing doubt that 500 people would not go because they can't smoke!!! Ok i take your point, but could you answer this question, would you prefer all the money going into the club from everyone , or just or just the money from your extra pie sales??
Babylon Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Ok i take your point, but could you answer this question, would you prefer all the money going into the club from everyone , or just or just the money from your extra pie sales?? Which ever works out the most.
Phube Posted 23 February 2006 Author Posted 23 February 2006 I'd be more than happy if this was an option, but people voting for a total ban has scuppered this i feel. I don't see why, I mean we voted for a ban IN the stadium. If it was stewarded properly I wouldn't have a problem with people going out of an exit to have a cigarette outside!! But not if they tried to stand half in, half out when it was raining!! (P.s. I'm sooo proud that I have started a thread that has reached upto 225 replies, nothing to do with me I accept, but still. Woo Hoo!! ) P.p.s. If you look at the above ST sales vs pie sales. If you ASSUME you make an ASS out of U and ME!!!!!
Babylon Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Ha so they are going to buy 3 more pies than those that are already eaten(a figure which you or i don't know) what a load of shite. What the hell are you talking about "3 more pies than those already eaten"?????? Who's talking shite here.

I don't know where the three came from, i think i was laughing so much a bit of nonsense came out Still i don't know how with fewer people there (which is what we're suggesting MIGHT happen) you are expecting more pies to be sold especially 2500 to cover the loss of 500 people. Maybe you are right but i can see the walkers may have to reduce its capacity to fit in all these fat bastard pie munchers in.

It is a known fact that when smokers can't smoke they eat or drink because they are not use to doing nothing with their hands. I multiplied the number I actually thought (500) by 5, as I believe the actual figure of people not going would be at most 100, which is 5 times less than what he had said.

It's a bit academic all this pie talk as we don't make much if any from increased sales as they are a concession. Linden Catering , I think would get the extra if there was any.

Yeah but it is also a known fact that smokers can't drink without smoking, so you'll lose the same revenue in beer sales
Babylon Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Yeah but it is also a known fact that smokers can't drink without smoking, so you'll lose the same revenue in beer sales Well you are fooked in summer of 2007 then.

Anyway my point being it's swings and roundabouts, lose a little here gain a little there. But I don't believe anyone will decide not to go when it comes to it. They go to watch footy not smoke.

I probably will go still go, i have said before the reason i was so pissed off was the delight everybody took in banning it.
