l444ry Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Not a real leicester fan ha i doubt i have missed more than 30 games in the last 15 years(home & away) i bet there aren't many who can beat that. I also have a lcfc tattoo across the whole of my back. At the end of the day the club obviosly don't want the money of us dirty smoker so they can shove it. i would rather spend thousands of pounds a year on a club that appreciates it not one that stabs you in the back. What annoy's me most is all the people that voted no are part time supportes anyway smokers no how to dedicate themselves (ie travelling to every away game) to thing unlike you anti smoking toss potts Shame that with all that dedication you can't respect your fellow supporters decision. What if all the non-smokers refused to go for the same reasons as you. It's all pathetic Fox. It's also called democracy.

Would you like to come and say that to the face of someone who did vote 'no' and has supported Leicester for over 20 years and has a season ticket and attends as many away games as funds allow. I dont want to breathe in your stupid, stinking smoke and why should I? Its your filthy habit not mine!!!
trueblue1 Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Of 'cause you'll be welcome, just not you packet of cigarettes... But does this mean after 2007 you'll no longer frequent: in reply to your list, i work for myself, so no problem!!! pubs, not really bothered cos only go in them now and again, will end up like ireland with smoking areas anyway, clubs, why do i need to go to a club?? pubs are open longer now!! trains i dont use!! restaurants i do use but i leave after the meal, so they loose money that i may have spent in there, as for the shops i dont spend hours in them anyway so not a prob. planes, i only use them for holidays and i try to sleep as much of the flight as i can, as for hospitals i wouldnt worry about the cos when all you do gooders get your way and ban the fags completeley there will be no money to run them anyway!!!! Work Pubs Clubs Bars Restaurants Cafes Shops Trains Aeroplanes Cinemas Hospitals (especially in Leicester as the WHOLE site will be non-smoking inc. the outside and car parks) So basically life will be limited to: House Car Streets.... Not my choice anyway!!

Didn't realise that smoking went hand in hand with being a superior grade fan.
Katy Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Nice comments from someone that was bleating about tolleration in another thread This is totally different and you know it, you dont have a decent response so you say that. What the hell has being forced to be in contact with OTHER PEOPLES smoke have anything to with being tolerent towards other races? Nice try!

It is an emotive issue and very divisive. I am a non-smoker but a close relative is desperately addicted to cigarettes and I know she feels socially excluded to the point of despair by the anti-smoking trend. Cigarettes killed my father after he, like many others, had become dependent during war service and, of course there are multitudes of reasons why people smoke and I think it a great pity that you or anyone else should feel so aggrieved as to wish to stop being a supporter.

Tolleration is tolleration, i am not asking for you come over and breathe my smoke just for somwhere to go and smoke at half time. I made a decision at 13 years old to smoke, now i am being villified for it, i think your views are nothing short of ignorant.
trueblue1 Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 i do not understand why people who smoke, or those who do not are turning this into a debate of who is the best supporter?? we should be all the same !! all i have said is how i feel about the way the non smokers voted and how it could affect me and the way in which i support the club. just to let you know all of my kids voted for the ban !!! until i said to them that if i could not give up then they would not be able to go!! no dowt the club will be wanting me to renew my season tickets soon so they can get money in for new signings, my prob is, do i spend all that money on a gamble that i will have given up by the start of the season??? i just do not understand why there can not be a smoking area in the ground?? i would happily move to it, i think there is room for us all!! lets face it, i dont think next season that the ground will be sold out!!
Phube Posted 21 February 2006 Author Posted 21 February 2006 I made a decision at 13 years old to smoke, now i am being villified for it, Exactly, How many 13 year olds make good decisions!!!

Sorry for your loss, but people who don't smoke also have to die at some point aswell, surely a smoking area is not too much to ask and with the looming laws it would have to be at your seats at half time, if somebody is then is blowing smoke in your direction either ask them to be considerate or move crikey what next are we gonna put fat people on rations.
Milky Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 i have a question for the smokers here. is it really that hard to go without a fag for a couple of hours?
Leicfox Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 I think someone has already stated that in the Kop end the doors get opened at HT to a burger van, maybe you could swap your seats and nip for a fag then ??? although im sure everyone else will have the same idea.
Flemmish Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 i have a question for the smokers here. is it really that hard to go without a fag for a couple of hours? Unfortunately it is, but I still do not understand why people start in the first place

Dont you dare call me ignorant when you are ignorant of the facts in front of you. You are turning your back on the club you support because you arent allowed to smoke in the stadium. Pick your toys up mate and get in the real world!

Cobbo Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 My dad's diet consists of milkshakes and nothing else as he has no tongue. He is also very weak and not able to get around much at all, can no longer drive or take part in any kind of strenuous exercise (including a gentle walk). He used to smoke. I don't wish to have this same problem as I am rather fond of my tongue (as are some others ) and I likes me grub. Them there fags are lovely mind you.

I will call you what the hell i like, if you don't want to be called ignorant or a hypocrite stop being so narrow minded. I am not turning my back on the club i see it as they do not welcome smokers and i am a smoker, i will listen to the games on the radio and i will be at every away game.

It's more a case of them not welcoming the chance of non smokers passively smoking and contracting cancer in later life because of this surely? You will not call Katy what the hell you like either. Seemed to me also that it wasn't the club choosing to ban smokers - it was more a democratic vote by the fans of Leicester City wasn't it? 90% TD said or something.

No you wont call me what the hell you like, im not allowed to say (according to you) I dont want to breathe in your smoke so you cant call me ignorant and narrow minded. I notice you are the only one calling me this, you started it with YOUR narrow minded view that EVERYONE who voted on saturday was a part time supporter, I was putting you straight so dont get all hollier than thou with me! You cant handle the general concensus view - thats not my fault!

I think if you read my posts, i have stated i am in favour of democracy and you all have the right to chose not to have me at the ground, i accept this. I will not be going to the walkers next season as it is a place for non-smokers i am a smoker and would not adhere to the rules, i do not want to be banned as later in life i may chose to realise smoking is bad and wish to return. so i will either spend every other saturday listening to my radio or i will pop over to the marsdens to get my football fix. P.s i think katy is more than capable of fighting her own battle's.

I can be narrow minded and ignorant also pig headed but i am aware of my faults and flaws and am comfortable with them, i did say that everyone who voted were part time supporters and perhaps should have said most but it was worth it to see your true colours come through. i stand by what i said IGNORANT AND A HYPOCRITE.
