Collymore Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Right then... With the strikers that have been at our club over the last few seasons, pick your best, 2nd best and 3rd best pairing. (imagine none of them have aged) Fryatt Hume Hammond Sir Les Dickov Bent Deane Connolly Scowcroft Blake Dublin De Vries (any other I've forgot) 1st: Sir Les & Hume (hume close with Bent) 2nd: Dickov & Bent 3rd: Connolly & Deane
Gené and Tonic Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 1. Bent and Les (Bents still in the Prem for a reason) 2. Connolly and Dickov 3. Hume and Fryatt
Ric Flair Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 1) Bent & Dickov 2) Hume & Fryatt 3) Bent & Fryatt
Janx Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 1) Bent & Dickov 2) Hume & Fryatt 3) Bent & Fryatt Dickov and Deane... it worked before!!
werestandingup_weresittingdown Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 1st - Sir les + Dickov (by some margin IMO) 2nd - Bent + Fryatt 3rd - Hume + Deane
Muz Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 1 Bent & Dickov 2 Hume & Fryatt 3 Bent & Connolly
Strokes Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Blake and Scowcroft Seriously Dickov and Deane would take some beating

andyh1884 Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 How about a bit further and probably the (potentially) best partnership ever: 1. Collymore & Heskey 2. Sir Les & Dickov 3. Hume & Fryatt
Lester LXXIV Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 How about a bit further and probably the (potentially) best partnership ever: 1. Collymore & Heskey 2. Sir Les & Dickov 3. Hume & Fryatt ...Just that ickle bit too slow with that one andy! Soz mate!
andyh1884 Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 ...Just that ickle bit too slow with that one andy! Soz mate! Livid! as I posted I spotted it. Glaring omission by everyone so far though!
Lester LXXIV Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Livid! as I posted I spotted it. Glaring omission by everyone so far though! Defo! Especially when it was 'Collymore' who started the thread, I would have expected better from him!
Random Burglar Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Heskey + Bent Hume + Fryatt Dickov + Les
Bert Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 1 Bent & Dickov 2 Hume & Fryatt 3 Bent & Connolly I'm not rimming as you'll say mate but yeah i'm right in agreement with this. Good call.
Collymore Posted 21 February 2006 Author Posted 21 February 2006 Defo! Especially when it was 'Collymore' who started the thread, I would have expected better from him! Where i said last few seasons should have been a clue! If I had included Colly, then TC, Rag head, Claridge etc would all have to go in and we would be here all day.. It's obvious that Collymore was the best striker in the world let alone for LCFC so I thought it would be taking the piss including him..

Sorry for opening the can of worms but 'few' is a bit open ended really innit! If we're gonna do this then we might as well do it properly! 1. Franky Wortho + Gary Lineker.... 2. Stan + Bruno 3. TC + Sir Les ....we could break it down into decades??

steve_wilson101 Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Claridge - the greatest yet (in terms of impact) with your choice of TC, Heskey or Fryatt. Collymore was fantastic but didn't play enough games to make a true imact (I know Fryatt hasn't yet either but he has the potential)

DaveyJ Posted 21 February 2006 Posted 21 February 2006 Im suprised Bent's being picked by so many people. He's not that good, I don't remember him exactly setting the world alight when we were in the prem. Sir Les and Bruno
Thin_King Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Heskey and Collymore -looked like a formiddable partnership in the limited time they had together, we had Heskey probably at his best, and if O'Neill had stayed, he was getting the best out of a frustratingly good but lazy player. But, as i have previously stated in so many other threads - are club history could have been sooooOOOOO different had that happened, but lets not get ourselves depressed. Tony Cottee and Iwan Roberts (the legend that is...) !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dickov/Ferdinand and Claridge (ooooooooh, could have been so sweet)
C-man Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 1. Bent & Dickov 2. Hume & Fryatt 3. Bent & Connolly
The People's Hero Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Heskey/Collymore. or for true Leicester forward line... Marshall/Claridge.
