holly Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 ok, if you de-frost chicken, then put it in the fridge how long can you leave it there before you have to cook it and eat it???? god dam my mother never being available when needed!!!
The People's Hero Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 You're a student. Just eat it whenever. Best before dates are more a challenge than a deadline.
Louise Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Two days at the most. If you defrosted it in the fridge you can re-freeze it if you want instead...
holly Posted 22 February 2006 Author Posted 22 February 2006 Is it dead or alive? well i aint gettin a live chuck out the freezer am i
Newcastle_Fox Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Play the food poison lottery and just cook it now!
Head Honcho Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Two days at the most. If you defrosted it in the fridge you can re-freeze it if you want instead... I hope you're joking you can't re-freeze chicken! Can you?
Chimp Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 I hope you're joking you can't re-freeze chicken! Can you? No, don't ever re-freeze anything you've defrosted. Holly, however, was talking about how long it can be left chilled in the fridge before it becomes unsafe to eat.
The People's Hero Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 If it goes green, don't eat it. Apply this law to any edible thing which isn't green to start with and you won't go far wrong.
Milky Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 No, don't ever re-freeze anything you've defrosted. what will happen if you do?
Steven Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 Let your nose be the guide. If it smells off it is, if it smells ok then it is.
Louise Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 I hope you're joking you can't re-freeze chicken! Can you? No. Not unless you cook it first, then you have to defrost it in the fridge afterwards. Reading over what I put I see how I was confusing
The People's Hero Posted 22 February 2006 Posted 22 February 2006 I'm both confused and aroused. It feels quite quite wrong but oh so right.

MC Prussian Posted 23 February 2006 Posted 23 February 2006 Funny how things work out. We're just about to shoot our final student short movie in two weeks time. It's about a business guy who performs occult rituals with chickens in his spare time. A "lucky charm" in business matters, so to speak. We'll shoot some footage on an organic chicken farm, where the hens and the rooster can run around freely and more happily. I wish I could read their faces.
