Milky Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 too right might aswell aim some abuse alan's way. o.k, so he was in the promotion side, but he was still very poor and he has forest connections.
Bert Posted 3 March 2006 Author Posted 3 March 2006 Not only did he join us from Forest he left us to go to Forest and then siad he never wanted to come here in the first place!!
LCFC UK Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Not only did he join us from Forest he left us to go to Forest and then siad he never wanted to come here in the first place!! Cant stand the man
Milky Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 So is Delany got nothing against him, actually i have, though i suppose it wasn't his fault.
Bert Posted 3 March 2006 Author Posted 3 March 2006 got nothing against him, actually i have, though i suppose it wasn't his fault. Yeah, I won't boo Delaney either always tried his hardest and gave evrything, it wasn't his fault he left, he looked a promising player as well. I bet he sticks one past us though... I can just see it now.......
Jonesy_rules Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Niether have I, as you said was a good player, lets just hope he has a shite game tomorrow!
Ric Flair Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Niether have I, as you said was a good player, lets just hope he has a shite game tomorrow! Hume will give him nightmares
Dr The Singh Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Rogers is poo, but I remember him playing against us for Forest when they beat us 1- 0 at home, and he had played the best football that I have ever seen him play!! I hope it will not be a repeat!!!
Babylon Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 He speaks the truth though.... He added: "They always look back on the Martin O'Neill days and you cannot blame them because they had a lot of success under him. "It was going to be difficult for any manager to follow him - and in all truth, it probably still is now." Although he says we'll give him stick cus he left us for forest..... errr no mate you'll get boood as you were shite and we were glad you went to forest.
Strokes Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Rogers added: "I won promotion there, was relegated and then got promotion again - it was a mixed bag." Can anyone explain to may why rogers thinks he won promotion twice whilst at leicester?
Jonbluefox9 Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Anyone remember the game in our promotion season when Rogers got stretchered off after about 10 minutes to a standing ovation. I think it was because we were glad to see the back of him so soon but it was about the first and last time he ever got clapped.

The thing about this Martin O'Neill thing might be partly true but at the end of the day I think most fans would be pretty happy aslong as the club showed gradual improvement. We don't expect premiership football but we have been shown that it can be achieved and that's why we won't accept it when a manager comes in and bollocks us about. It's damn hard to get back up there and stay there, especially with the lack of finances we have now but for a club our size and the players we have had at our disposal over the past few years we should be doing better than we are. Rogers was shit, that's why he wasn't liked here. Nothing to do with O'Neill and Taylor might of had a hard act to follow O'Neill but he could of followed any manager in the land and we'd still of thought he was a disgrace because he blew well over £20 million on utter dross. It's beggers belief that the media and people in football actually can't grasp why we hate the man.

We don't expect premiership football Up til about 4 months ago people seemed to though... we are turning into forest where people can't move on from past glory. Stuff that has been posted on here backs that up.
Scow Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Rogers was carried by the rest of the team that promotion season - he was simply woeful. And to think this was a player who was voted the best Premiership left back in 1999. I think injuries have played a part though.
Hullfox Posted 3 March 2006 Posted 3 March 2006 Hume will give him nightmares Delaney has been playing in midfield lately.

I read something on the 606 message boards on the beeb earlier this evening - somebody claimed that "Taylor is the best English Coach". If that's so, why isn't he coaching at a higher level than he currently is? Oh that's right, he tried it once, and he made a spectacular cock up of it and soon got sacked. Some people ... Libertine Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Brilliant. I saw some of them floating about when the players ran out, but wasn't sure what they were.
davieG Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 So good i've decided they deserve a topic of their own.
