Royal Male Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 A big thank you to all the Leicester fans and the club yesterday from a very happy and hungover Reading fan. The way you acomadated us yesterday was first class, the good luck message from your announcer before kick off was excelent, there's not many clubs out there that would have done that. From the moment we walked into the Walkers stadium, until we drove off south, you were a credit to football. Thank you Leicester City Football club your supporters and all who helped us celebrate. I hope we can look forward to another trip soon and this time as a prem fixture.

Gené and Tonic Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 I think its fairly safe to say they didn't have their best of games yesterday, but looking at the team and the resources available you'd have to say they have a good chance of staying up next year. They may even do a Wigan you can never be sure.
macbeth Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 good to know the sporting behaviour of our fair city is appreciated / but if it was cov or derby in your position i somehow feel there would have been a much less accomodating atmosphere / all the best in the top flight and go and do a wigan
Gené and Tonic Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 btw did you read the back of the programme? Reading Fans were number 13 on the teamsheet
SystonFox Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 Congratulations to all Royals and good to hear the announcer before the game, good to see most City fans clapping at the final whistle when it was announced. good luck in the prem! off to watch the championship now and rue those missed chances where we should have burried you
Tommy Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 Well done to everyone concerned with Reading. You have deserved it this year, and whilst I was hoping for a City win yesterday, no-one was ever going to take it away from you. Well done on going up, and I hope you stay up too. Leicester vs Reading, Premiership fixtures 2007/2008, fingers crossed
syston_fox Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 btw did you read the back of the programme? Reading Fans were number 13 on the teamsheet Thats actually their new Chinese striker!
Muz Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 The way you've smashed the league to peices this year deserved a round of applause. Yesterday just showed how much ability we have in the squad though , we matched you in every department and nobody would have thought it was 1st v 16th. Good luck next season , I hope you stay up , And I hope we join you soon
Head Honcho Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 A few reasons why Reading may do well next season. 1-They got a bit of dough 2-Location-The London clubs have some good players in their squad but not playing regular 1st team football so a thirty mile trip down the M4 for 1st team football might not be a bad idea. 3-They've got a good team spirit down there and although this won't stop you from being relegated it can get you a few extra points. 4-Steve Coppell
Bert Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 All the best for your season(s) in the premiership! I hope you stay up and i hope we come to play you in the next few seasons!! (In the prem that is )
Muz Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 I'll have a bet with anyone that wants one now. That - If Reading are bottom of the league after 10 games with 0 or 1 wins , Coppel will walk , he's done it before and he'll do it again.
Teeno Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 Glad you had a good day mate, it was nice to be part of the celebrations.
Tubes Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 fully deserved very nice of you to thank us and give our fans the credit they deserve good luck next season and i look forward to an easy 6 points in two years (in the prem i hope)
Durnerz Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 Isn't John Madejski standing down after this season? Good luck anyway, you've deserved it this season but need to spend big to cut it in the Premiership, your defence looked very suspect yesterday and didn't look too creative going forward until the last few minutes. It's tough up there but good luck and thanks for the comments.
Bollock Head Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 All the best to Reading in the upcoming Premiership season. They are one of those few clubs that don't have any reason to be hateful against. Let's hope you achieve similar success to Wigan Athletic next season!
holly Posted 26 March 2006 Posted 26 March 2006 more than welcome, it was nice to see you all having such a great day!! hope you do well next season!
Katy Posted 27 March 2006 Posted 27 March 2006 Congrats to Reading, I wish you well for next season it will be tough but West Ham and Wigan have more than coped. I was made up we didnt lose because my dad was over from Spain and went to the game with me, he hadnt seen us since September and was astounded by the performance - Big up to RK and the lads!
