The Don Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 How great is it that I'm stuck at a desk at work, while outside is absolutely wonderful!!! Perfect weather for a beer garden visit. Followed by a few stubbies and a BBQ. Must be rain at the weekend then. I want a game of frisbee

The People's Hero Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 I know. First weekend of cricket for EMCC... don't think we'll get much play. Glad I'm not making teas.
The Don Posted 4 May 2006 Author Posted 4 May 2006 I know. First weekend of cricket for EMCC... don't think we'll get much play. Glad I'm not making teas. Had my first game sunday. Can just about walk now!!
The People's Hero Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Opted out of any nets sessions this time round... Playing satdeh but apparently the weather is going to be awful down here.
Matt Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 And everyone laughed at me when I turned up at work in shorts this morning (When the weather didn't look too good)...Who was laughing when they were the ones wasting there dinner break going home and getting there shorts! Lovly weather. Ment to be not too bad tommorrow but not brilliant, then surprise when it comes to the weekend it all goes downhill
Milky Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 supposed to be thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow apparently. lovely day, bloody boiling in my uni room though cus the sun shines straight through my window leading to less that perfect revision conditions.
Benji Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 tell you what i find funny, people walking round in just shorts, no t-shirts etc come on, anyone would think we'd never seen the sun before i left for college in a jumper today, granted by 12 i was gladly able to leave it at home as i only had 2 lessons today (woohoo ) but i went in town about 3 and it was like being at a holiday resort does anyone else think that, although its fine to take ur t-shirt off on holiday/sunbathing/playing sport, it's a really chav/scummy thing to do in town or just walking around say fosse park or somewhere
Thracian Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Perfect for golf. The ball flew 20 yards further in the warm sunshine and the course by the Brandon Wood nature reserve was a picture. Pity the holes had obviously been shrivelled and wouldn't accept the ball willingly enough.
EmLeee Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Played frizbeeee at lunch! Lost 2 in 2 days, and rescued one from a tree with a pole
Deathside Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 It was lashing it down on my way to work this morning This evening I took my top off for the journey home And the good news is I'm working in Nice on the Cote D'Azur next week - So I don't mind a bit of decent weather
Ricey Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Didn't get change to sit in the beer garden today but I will do tomorrow, meant to be raining tomorrow though
Matt Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 tell you what i find funny, people walking round in just shorts, no t-shirts etc come on, anyone would think we'd never seen the sun before i left for college in a jumper today, granted by 12 i was gladly able to leave it at home as i only had 2 lessons today (woohoo ) but i went in town about 3 and it was like being at a holiday resort does anyone else think that, although its fine to take ur t-shirt off on holiday/sunbathing/playing sport, it's a really chav/scummy thing to do in town or just walking around say fosse park or somewhere People at my work do it, and they get told off for saftey reason so we wear a vest we get told off for not wearing company uniform(Well a Company t-shirt) Today people at my work took there top's off, but I didn't bother showing my beer belly off... At the same time your comment "Anyone would think we'd never seen the sun before" - Fair enough prehaps we do go abit OTT at the first sight of sun but we don't get much sun (Or don't seem too) so take your oppotunities while you can...Prime example, Beautiful day today...according to the weather reports storms tommorrow/over the weekend.
NFFC Chris Posted 4 May 2006 Posted 4 May 2006 Well certainly a gorgeous today, first time this year where I sweated like hell.I wish we were having this weather for the weekend, but typically it will be cool and wet for most of it I think

The People's Hero Posted 5 May 2006 Posted 5 May 2006 I've ****' awful here - which is about par for the course cos the weekend starts in less than 8 hours.
