Still here in Vancouver, BC for the first few group phase games before I head back home to Switzerland, where I'll spend the time in front of the telly or in pubs/restaurants, watching the games with some friends of mine.

Hope the Swiss team can make it past the first three games and then surprise the entire football community! :P

I'll go down tut pub for the final.

The pub at home though because I will've finished at Uni the week before.

Irritatingly enough I miss England's first match because I HAVE A FACKING EXAM!!

Starts at 2pm on the Satdee, EXACTLY THE SAME TIME AS THE MATCH!!

Grrr.

AND it's in the huge hall next to the bar, so I'm gonna hear it all going down :(

Fortunately it's my only hour and a half exam, so I'll be able to catch the last 10-15 minutes or so.

The very reason that the football calender should always be consulted before booking your wedding!!!

You try telling the future Mrs & her family who are paying that you can't get married on the 24th because England might not win their group.....

I know how you feel - I missed an England match in the last World Cup due to exams at Warwick - they don't consult the football fixture list before arranging the exam timetable like they should

On the golf course as a self-inflicted punishment if my game doesn't come back together a bit quick. I've just joined a new club and they've got a river that acts like a black hole - any golf ball that goes near it gets sucked in never to be seen again.

Now I have to complain! Tried to live with it but can't do any more

09.06.2006 Poland vs. Ecuador (the day we teach them football, and I don't mean Kuszczak  )

"local media" exam at the uni

14.06.2006 World War 3 ;) so called here: Poland vs. Germany (we will remind them of Grunwald 1410 :D , if not on the pitch, then off the pitch will do  )

"world political systems" exam at the uni

20.06.2006 Poland vs. Costa Rica, the game of two first teams in the group (in this order  )

International associations exam at the uni

Now is anything more unfair? Oh yeah- I have to pass English, French, another "marketing & commerce" exam and finish my gradutaion piece somewhere in between. Means more money in my wallet, less alcohole in my blood. Shit anyway! Grouchy, I know...
