Scowy won everything in the air tonight - unlike the other duffers we could have played. His control is excellent and he doesn't give away needless freekicks by jumping into players like Dublin does. I thought Scowy played very well tonight - a lot better than Connolly.

He didnt have time to do anything, Scowcroft had 90 minutes. Sorry but i know we need someone tall up front, but if that person actually had movement and was as good as Connolly off the ball, i'd have nothing to complain about

Pressman - 7 - Solid game, did everything that was asked of him, one good save and came off his line well when he needed too.

Canero - 7 - Good going forward and defensively. Great to see a right back playing with more attributes than just being able to tackle and mark!

Heath - 7 - Solid enough, although Cov were never really a threat, really don't like him and Dabizas playing together though.

Dabizas - 7 - See above.

Stewart - 7 - Improving massively Strong in defence and uses his pace to much better effect now than he used too. Him and Tiatto seem to link up well. Diod one bit of class skill too

Gillespie - 6.5 - Improved a lot from what I've seen of him. Just needs to beat the full back a bit more and whip some crosses in. I can't remember him crossing one from open play. Good corners though.

Nalis - 8 - Cracking display from the man with brilliant hair Good range of passing as usual and worked hard getting back too. Another nice 25 yarder.

Gudjonsson - 7 - Worked hard too, broke up attacks well and played some good passes. Partnership with Nalis looks promising.

Tiatto - 7.5 - Typical performance from the ickle Aussie. Worked his arse off and played some good balls. Seemed to lead the team well.

Connolly - 8 - Great touches and passes, has great vision. Worked hard too closing down well. Just needs to be a bit more threatening in the final third.

Scowcroft - 7 - Won most things in the air without which would let Cov clear goal kicks easily. Apart from this he worked hard and showed some good pace at times and good a good touch and pass to lay people off.

Subs:

Morris - 7 - Very fast and full of confidence, looked like he may have had a case for a peno. Hopefully he can stay fit now!

Gemmill - 6 - Not really long enough to make an impression!

Pressman 7 - Didn't have alot to do, but pulled of his usual outstanding save.

Canero 7 - Impressed with Canero last night, he got better as the game went on. He worked well with Gillespie. Good going forward and defending.

Dabizas 4 - He was awful as always, he really bothers me. I just wish the refs would see what the fans could see and he'd never play football ever! Shocking.

Heath 7 - Good game from Heath and another goal for the lanky piece. He is slowly getting better and I like it.

Stewart 7.5 - Another brilliant performance from Stewart, he's just as good going forward as he is defending these days and that's an asset we desperately need.

Gillespie 7 - WOW! If Craig Levein can get Gillespie playing like that after 8 days in charge, we are going places. Even though there's room for improvement I though Gillespie was tricky and his set pieces were good. If he can perform like that every game he will gave solved alot of problems.

Gudjonsson 6.5 - Not sure about Joey, he seems abit irratic at times. Good passer of the ball and gets stuck in, I think he'll get better and better which is good. Crazy scissor kicks in the middle of the park though.

Nalis 8 - Quality again, never fails to amaze me. Too good for this league, his vision and energy is delightful. Another superb finish and some brilliant passes out to the wingers.

Tiatto 9 - Man of the match, I just love this chap. Amazing at everything he does on the pitch. He was everywhere, he rarely ever loses the ball and his passing has got alot better. Great finish and lead by example.

Scowcroft 5 - Absent for most of the match, didn't get any space and was constantly fouled, but the ref wasn't interested. He's more influential on the wing, but I don't like him out there. This is his best position, but he had an off day.

Connolly 8 - Brilliant again, just a shame he isn't scoring. He was everywhere, he runs out wide and dropping in deep are outstanding and we are lucky to have him. Once he starts scoring I fear for the rest of the league.

Subs:

Morris 6 - Didn't get much of the ball, but went on a run where he looked dangerous. Pleased to see him at last.

Gemmill ? - Not bothered.

Scowcroft was shit last night, didn't win alot to be fair. He was absent for the whole game, got fouled alot but the ref didn't give anything. First bad game all seaosn for him though.

I actually watched the whole game again last night when I got home, and Scowy did alright for me.

His touch was good, and passing was good. He did win a fair bit in the air, including the flick on for the second goal where the ball went to Connolly before it broke to Tiatto.
