Ric Flair Posted 7 June 2006 Posted 7 June 2006 Paperboy, that used to be awesome. Why did technology have to go and severly update itself every few months. Paperboy on the spectrum was immense.
Master Fox Posted 7 June 2006 Posted 7 June 2006 Paperboy, that used to be awesome. Why did technology have to go and severly update itself every few months. Paperboy on the spectrum was immense. Why play it on the spectrum when you can have the real thing?
The People's Hero Posted 7 June 2006 Author Posted 7 June 2006 Are you sure it wasn't just you drunk coming on here and posting sh it? I don't post sh it.. Why bother when there are so many others so adept at it?
Daggers Posted 7 June 2006 Posted 7 June 2006 Just recently bought a version of the Hobbit for the PC. Still trying to get out of Hobbiton. Can't find the hammer I need to mend the jetty. I could never get through the mountain without orcs eating me ~ isn't that always the way!
Guest Posted 7 June 2006 Posted 7 June 2006 Nobody I knows remembers this classic Bounty Bob Strikes Back!
Alexikokopops Posted 7 June 2006 Posted 7 June 2006 I used to be quite good at Frogger Good call with Frogger. It's all about Chuckie Egg though
Rincewind Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Frogger. Had that as well. Still got loads of games for the Atmos. There used to be a club and mag for Oric users. We were one of the last ones of it's kind refusing to bow down to Microsoft. Good thing about them they were easy to write your own programs on them. You could also copy programs from magazines and books. If anything went wrong with the game you just hit the break key and looked at the listing. Didn't do me any good but it was fun experimenting. You can't really do it on modern PC's unless you break in at restart but that's for the more tech minded than me. Who remembers Mr Wimpy?
Guest Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Who remembers Mr Wimpy? There's an ice cream van round our way most evenings...you did mean Mr Whippy?
Katy Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Chuckie egg AND frogger My stoopid Acorn Electron never used to load chuckie egg properly, it ruined my already ruined childhood.
IDEA OR IKEA Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Chuckie egg AND frogger My stoopid Acorn Electron never used to load chuckie egg properly, it ruined my already ruined childhood. Get out the violins
Katy Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Get out the violins I shall expect a computer game in my name, with a violin graphic included, on my desk by tomorrow please.
The People's Hero Posted 8 June 2006 Author Posted 8 June 2006 The reason I brought this thread up is that my mate has programmed a game which basically rips Dizzy off. You can complete it in under 5 minutes as it's very small at present, but still, I was impressed.
IDEA OR IKEA Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 I shall expect a computer game in my name, with a violin graphic included, on my desk by tomorrow please. That would take me about an hour to do, i would call it Kayteh Strikes Back and it will be based around a version of you that shoots arrows (rips off from kung-fu hussle) from a violin at unexpecting foxtalk members. You collect fruit and nut bars for energy, but have to watch out for the symbol as it gets you so angry that your head explodes - sound ok?

Master Fox Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Sounds smashing, get to work computer graphics (but im not a nerd im quite creative) boy. Can I have a role in the game?
The People's Hero Posted 8 June 2006 Author Posted 8 June 2006 Is your mate a computer programmer or pt project? He does some course about interactive multimedia projects. He just built this as he's doing an essay on the finer points of game design. Or something.
IDEA OR IKEA Posted 8 June 2006 Posted 8 June 2006 Can I have a role in the game? Ok, im thinking evil love interest, who used to have relations with Kayteh, but now have kidknapped her 'insert relative' and taken her to your castle, Kayteh to the rescue, hence the title strikes back (we will change that for the Americas as they will probabilly think its a sequel)
