MC Prussian Posted 19 June 2006 Posted 19 June 2006 Not a lot going on in this thread, eh? Everybody just way too stunned by the current scoreline?
Northants Fox Posted 19 June 2006 Posted 19 June 2006 The Spanish are laying siege to the Tunisia goal, so i can an eqaliser before long
MC Prussian Posted 19 June 2006 Posted 19 June 2006 Probably one of the most exciting matches at the WC so far. Spain enter the game as favourites and everybody expects them to win easily. Then they conceive a very early goal against them. Tunisia defends cleverly, a very hard shell to crack. The longer the game goes, the more tension is building up. Can Spain still make it? Yes. They score three wonder goals in the last 15 minutes of the game. What a finish. P.S.: And it matches my prediction precisely...
MC Prussian Posted 19 June 2006 Posted 19 June 2006 It was indeed a great comeback. Hopefully, we can avoid them in the next stage of the tournament, bad memories of '94 are reoccurring...
The People's Hero Posted 19 June 2006 Posted 19 June 2006 Torres will only get better as the years go on too... what a striker.
SystonFox Posted 19 June 2006 Posted 19 June 2006 agreed Torres is fantastic. wonder what odds are on him now compared to before for top goalscorer?
SystonFox Posted 19 June 2006 Posted 19 June 2006 the way he took his 1st and spains 2nd was beautiful. first half was boring though
Ric Flair Posted 20 June 2006 Posted 20 June 2006 Torres is superb, got him in my dream team at my dad's work. I did predict him as top scorer if I remember rightly in one of the world cup threads, he's looking good for it. Looks very similar to Christiano Ronaldo from a distance, both look about twelve.

I transferred him out and then had to choose between him and Villa to put back in for last night's game. Chose the wrong one cos he was a million cheaper. Counting on Klose and Delgado to star with hat-tricks in a 3-3 draw this afternoon and then Owen Hargreaves to get a shock winner against Ikea and co.

I've actually had a cheeky £2 on Hargreaves to score tonight at any time. Worth a few quid considering the shit he's been getting.
Guest Gist Posted 20 June 2006 Posted 20 June 2006 I think Tunisia should have carried on and tried to extend their lead they were always going to lose just sitting back like they did.
shen Posted 20 June 2006 Posted 20 June 2006 I think Tunisia should have carried on and tried to extend their lead they were always going to lose just sitting back like they did. They didn't have the energy to go full out against the Spanish for 90 minutes. That's what I thought anyway..
