davieG Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 Having sold Howard to Derby it seems that: Leeds are after Luton Town captain Kevin Nicholls and Carlos Edwards' agent says the Luton star wants to move to rivals Watford. What price losing those 3?
Cobbo Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 Bring on the first game of the season Newell must be fuming and a little sad too.
dandannieldanok Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 I think these players were the best of an average bunch despite their excellent start last season.
Cobbo Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 I think these players were the best of an average bunch despite their excellent start last season. I agree, although I think Nicholls is a cracking holding midfielder and a cracking skipper. Good signing by Leeds if they wrap it up.
SystonFox Posted 23 July 2006 Posted 23 July 2006 i was a little worried about the 1st game but with them losing there better players we have an amazing chance to get off to a cracker.

Manwell Pablo Posted 24 July 2006 Posted 24 July 2006 Funny attitude some of you have, I remember Fryatt saying something similar a few backs Regarding Lutons loss of players and who it should help us get a good start. I think this is a totally ridicolous each team will have to play Luton twice and if they are that poor they will get beat by most other teams as well as ourselves. Luton away needs to be three points, because we have Burnley coming on the 8th and they never lost at the walkers, with the bogie team to follow the next Saturday, and after all that a extremly hard trip to Coventry

Pissed up?

I'd rather play them away first than someone like Birmingham, who everyone also has to play twice aswell.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 July 2006 Posted 24 July 2006 I wanted us to sign Nicholls this summer. He'll do well for Leeds. Edwards and Howard are overrated.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 July 2006 Posted 24 July 2006 No offence Manwell, but I didn't understand a word of that. Pissed up? In a nut shell every team has to play Luton, so there is no reason to get excited about them losing players as every other team in the league will find it easier to pick up 3 points against them not just us. No im sleep deprived. due to getting pissed up too much.

TrickyTrev Posted 24 July 2006 Posted 24 July 2006 I think these players were the best of an average bunch despite their excellent start last season. Nicholls and Edwards were easily their best players. Howard is a donkey.
potter3 Posted 29 July 2006 Posted 29 July 2006 Edwards was the only player that stood out for them agaisnt us at their ground.
