Did anyone see the undercover documentary on BBC1 at 9 p.m. tonight? Seriously I was cringing throughout these guys at the World Cup gave such an awful impression of English people. Particular lowlights included:

a) A bloke tipping a pint of beer over a German woman's head.

b) Some bloke grabbing the boobs of a Brazilian who was in a car.

c) Numerous amounts of flag burning of other nations.

d) A random attack on a Turkish man who had lost his glasses and ended up with a bloody face for the priviledge.

e) Some woman having her top ripped off whilst about 10 blokes tried to cop a feel of her boobs.

f) Numerous amounts of racist chanting at quite a few different nations but particularly the Germans.

Seriously I could go on...this show made me so angry that these guys behaviour could be so poor and this is aside from all the fighting.:mad:

I missed it, hopefully it will be on Teleport so I can watch it later.

It must be born in mind though that idiots, such as the ones you describe, are in an ever diminishing minority at football matches.

I think the introduction of families since 1986, and the growing feminisation of football has had a great effect on the whole atmosphere.

Recently I saw a comparison of newspaper coverage over tournaments ~ and whereas journo's were paying louts to start fights in France, now they pay for tips to find out where Posh will be eating.

The retarded Neanderthals that carry out such actions are an embarrassment to us all, but every country has them. They are an anachronism that (hopefully) a decent bit of selective breeding will cure

The british cop that made comments on the hooligans was more inclined to point out that these morons,

were, in the main , just a reflection of the drink culture type yobs that litter our towns and streets each and every weekend, and he was at a loss as to the link between football supporting, patriotism, and the way these twats behaved.

IMO he was quite correct.

That sounds spot on ~ I find Booze Britain to be a deeply depressing show...but I can't help watching it. That and Costa del Crime.

Compulsive viewing. Even though it's on like the 15th repeat, I still have to watch.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

In a way, I am glad I missed out on tickets, some of the behaviour was appalling.

Typical Mob drinking culture.

They had better be careful in South Africa or they will be shot by the locals, simple!!

I was disappointed the Panarama had to do this show... Cheap programming in my opinion...

it was gratuitous and frankly unneccessary..

We all know it goes on, I thought that the media were supposed to be not reporting on it, thereby not giving these total fuqwads a platform..?

They made no real attempt to shed any new light on the problem other than sit back and watch the violence.

TOTALLY Pointless.

Again the only point raised of any consequence was that we are a nation of piss 'eds who like to go power drinking and have a bundle.

So basically the only way forward is to stop alcohol being served in pubs. Perhaps they should hand out draw and see if they get into many fights.

Preston council are trying to ban Standing up in pubs... a bit like our own stewards then.

I found it embarassing and cringed at it. You're right Shum, try that in South Africa in 2010........I don't think so. As said nothing to do with football but the binge drinking culture these days

But the German police praised English fans for being one of the best sets in the world. However English press/People "intimidated" by football fans/Don't like football couldn't for trouble to KO and the odd times it happened they slagged football fans off.

This year/World Cup "we" should be praised but the press had to go and make a documentry expecting England fans to KO. Is there any point no?

Every club/country has its troublemakers but on a whole England fans should be being praised not being given bad press highlighting the bad instead of good.

Most of that sounds like Benidorm during the Leicester fortnight!

It was a programme about yobs who just happened to use the world cup as a stage for their idiocy.

Battle Royale style fights is the only answer.

Get all the t**ts on a island and let them tear each other to pieces, leave us normal people in peace!!!

I was there in germany for the world cup and to be honest saw only one punch up involving our boys, it was 2 sets of our own fans, liverpool and brmingham fans but tbh we kept away from groups of english lads. But on many occassions the english were very intimidating and on several occassions felt things would spill over but these types were in a minority most of us english were ok!!

Yes, at times it did remind me of a night out un the UK......guys just behaving like right tits.

There were english guys getting drunk at 9-10 am in the morning and by the night were so pissed, they would be up for anything......and the changes in behaviour were pronounced, from friendly to outright monsters!!

I agree with jankers though, all it did was document the violence rather then look at the issues surrounding it. Too much alcohol and the communal togetherness, and patriotism and general yob culture in the UK.....I think the Germans got off lightly, it could have been alot worse!!!
