Babylon Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Obviously we are only one game in, but the lack of effort, pace and creativity were there for all to see. What do we do to fix it? Who comes in and who goes out? I'm trying to do a team but i'm struggling with a midfield as it is so poor!!!
spirefox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Changes for tuesday:- In:- Kisnorbo,Hughes, and Low (Kenton to RB) Out:-Stearman,Maybury and Tiatto Hopefully the others will be so ashamed of today's non performance that they will improve dramatically.
Guest Gist Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 I think we should go back to the regular starting 11 under Kelly last season with Hughes on the left and leave Tiatto out, maybe that will encourage us to keep the ball on the floor for longer instead of hoofing it at every chance we get to.
Isopen Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 How about going down to the Walkers for 90 minutes & getting behind the team for the entire game. Yes today was disappointing, but some on here aren't glass half empty, they just see a mouthful of water in the glass at best
SystonFox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 VS Burnley. id like to see ---------------------Hendo-------------------- Maybury --- Mccarthy --- Kisnorbo --- Kenton Low ----- Williams ---- Johnson ------ Hughes --------------- Fryatt ----- Hume --------

Bluefoxtim Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 before the game started one of the commentators said 'you won't find many better midfields in this division'................... hmm
Thracian Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Obviously we are only one game in, but the lack of effort, pace and creativity were there for all to see. What do we do to fix it? Who comes in and who goes out? I'm trying to do a team but i'm struggling with a midfield as it is so poor!!! Come on Babylon. I know I'm too radical. So come up with something that would be acceptable and which cures the problems the vast majority of us seem to think are obvious.
breadandcheese Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Without a vast scouting network, or any phone numbers of agents to find out who is available, there must be a player or two we can get in on loan (as we did last season). The way I see it, is that we have no options to mix it up and so pretty much have to resort to the team we played today. Seems to be the same problems as last season, only without Gudjonsson or a left winger loanee.

Yes today was disappointing, but some on here aren't glass half empty, they just see a mouthful of water in the glass at best How about the players and management actually giving a f'ck? When they do that then they'll get the support. Mind you if I was facing what they are then I suppose I'd be half hearted as well.

breadandcheese Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Today the support at Luton was fantastic. No-one booed, everyone got behind the team. It was a top atmosphere. Even when we were losing, we were the louder fans. Shame about the preformance actually on the pitch.

Suffolk_fox Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 How about only paying the team if we win, or at least show some commitment? Could save the club some cash too....

dandannieldanok Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Sheehan must be brought in for Johansson, the man was awful today. Unuprisingly he was beaten comprehensively on the ground but the lump couldn't even header the ball properly. He was totally at fault for the first goal whatever anyone says.
Stevosevic Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 everyone keeps saying that people must be bought in to replace certain players, but its never going to happen. RK wont drop Johansson for Sheehan, he wont drop maybury for Low, he wont drop Tiatto for Porter.
Muz Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Kisnorbo back in Midfield I liked the way Low , Porter , Rab and Kisnorbo were sat next to the Leicester fans today , was good too see.

reynard Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Just got back. If we play like that the only place we will be going will be div 1. no creativity no passion great support shame the fans can't play they might at least try. Unless this board gets its act together and brings in some investment then years of mediocre football plaeyed by mediocre players is all we can expect.
Mort Posted 5 August 2006 Posted 5 August 2006 Things can only get better.... We both know things can get a whole lot worse ...that said we have the ability to do credibly this season, but i have no idea what planet we where on this afternoon.

RK wont drop Johansson for Sheehan, he wont drop maybury for Low, he wont drop Tiatto for Porter. I'm not so sure, RK has pulled players off who've failed to perform (witness Douglas against Lincoln)... if he doesnt go with what works (and tha means some significant changes from the line-up today) then he'll lose his job... that should be all the motivation he needs.
