Head Honcho Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Rangers' Nacho Novo to Coventry Good signing for the scum! If he can transfer his SPL form to the division he'll do well.
lcfc_jme Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Good signing for spurs. Routledge should get a decent run with Fulham as he wasn't grtting a chance at spurs with Lennon and Tainio in front of him Yeah at least he'll be playing regularly, just like he did at pompey last season I think. He looked pretty impressive down there if I remember correctly
Ricey Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Heard as rumour probobly nothing but as Man You have missed out on Mascerano and Hargreaves (more than likely) they might be after Nigel Reo-Coker Tony Cottee said on the radio that a player is on their way out at West Ham but he couldn't say who.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Re: Ashley Cole; Keith Lamb, Boro's Chief Exec on the Huth transfer.. "I am taking Chelsea and Peter Kenyon on face value and they have told me it will be completed, he cannot be in two places at once - it doesn't take a genius to work out where he is but he will sign the agreement upon his return to Stamford Bridge."
Tommeh Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Reyes Cannot believe this guy who does he think he is. He is an average prem player at best. "I want Real to sign me" Yeah so do I mate but i'm not good enough and of what we've seen of you over here neither are you. p.s Reyes is lucky that real have heated leather recaro seats on their subs bench!
lcfc_jme Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 SSN: Man City in talks with PSV over deal for DaMarcus Beasley

If they sign Reyes, wouldn't they try and offload big Ronaldo in a quick arrangement for some cash, as they have bought in RVN, and have Robinho as well as Raul and Cassano ahead of Ronaldo anyway??

Julio Baptista is involved in the deal as a swap. Wont be much money being forked out 2-3 million. There is talk of a swap between Inter and real, Adriano being swapped for Ronaldo.

If thats the case certainly expect Inter to recieve money aswell due to age difference and the fact Adriano's the much better player

Yeah heard something about Baptista going the other way, probably to play in the Viera role and make sure Arsenal have muscle in the midfield, a la " The Invincibles " . As for Inter swapping Adriano for Ronaldo? Have they lost the plot? Ronaldo is a lot less effective now than he previously was, and Adriano still has a lot to come. They're gona need to rely a little more on a trusted striker, especially after selling Martins. Ronaldo is too much of a gamble imo

Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 And as you will learn over the coming months, Martins is wack. I'd be suprised if he scores more then 10 goals.

He can run all over the shop but can't shoot for love nor money. Bit like Elvis really, except he can control the ball. Elvis = Poor man's Martins, true story.

I may have let the signings of Crespo and Ibrahimovic slip my mind for the duration of that post, and I certainly remember now that they have indeed been signed But I would still want Adriano in my squad ahead of Ronaldo, he is a lot fitter and quicker than Ronaldo atm, and he has a lot more time left, so he would be more reliable, especially if Inter need cover for their new signings. The Martins issue is something different though, as I do not think he looked too bad when he played against Arsenal in the CL. He has got the strength to be a quality Prem striker, whether he uses his full potential is another story, but he certainly looks good enough to do a job for Newcastle

I'm just saying about what I have seen of him and my first impression of him, not saying I know him like the back of my hand, not saying his is an international superstar 30+ goal a season man, I just said I assume if he performs to his potential he will be able to do a pretty good job for them. As for the Sunderland fans that reckon they seen a Man U player (Ole Gunnar S) leaving the Stadium of Light with a huge grin on his face?!?! Madness!!!!! (thanks to SSN for that)

Tommeh Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Wigan accept a bid from Spurs for Chimbonda he's finally going then. Why does the deal actually happen 8 1/2 hours before the cut off, when the player gave in a transfer request 3 months ago. Madness.
