Nationwider Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Kazim-Richards to Sheff Yoo Rossi to the Mags Harry to bag Goal King Cole??? Charlton get Souleymane Diawara Fuller on the move AGAIN? Mellor's Prestons fella Celtic make Grave mistake?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Tevez and Mascherano sign for English team Not quite who you might have in mind though..
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Julio Baptista & £2m for Reyes?? Good deal for Arsenal that.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Good deal for Arsenal that. Agree. Never been impressed with Reyes in the Premiership. I'm not sure his heart has ever been in it. A couple of spectacular goals have papered over the cracks. For the amount they spent on him, you'd expect more. He might be more effective again in Spain though, judging by some of his performances for Sevilla. Baptista might be more suited to the English game in terms of his strength (cliché-o-rama!)
martyn Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 If true, the Tevez and Mascherano signings are massive for West Ham. I couldn't believe it when I saw.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 If true, the Tevez and Mascherano signings are massive for West Ham. I couldn't believe it when I saw. Done and dusted apparently.
Dr The Singh Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Done and dusted apparently. Believe it when I see it!!!!!
Dr The Singh Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Well start believing I am a believer!!!! WHat massive signings for WH, well done Pardew and Manangement Team!!!!
Knighton Matt Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Well start believing Amazing coup and will be great for the Premiership to see these guys in action at a supposedly 'lesser' team.
Ric Flair Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Tevez and Mascherano sign for English team Not quite who you might have in mind though.. Good grief, amazing signings.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Amazing coup and will be great for the Premiership to see these guys in action at a supposedly 'lesser' team. Well West Ham were already a good team, top half finish and a FA cup final apperance not to be scoffed at. This could elevate them to new heights however. Big well done to Alan Pardew.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 I might still need to see them sat at a press conference in West Ham shirts to believe it fully to be honest, but still. Fantastic coup as everyone is saying.
marko Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Whilst it is a major coup. I will reserve my judgment until i see them play, it must be hard for a foreign player to adapt to our league style of play, language, culture, climate etc. But both have the potential to be big hits.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 It's good that transfer deadline day is getting as exciting as it used to be, even if it just a bunch of foreigners going to Premiership clubs on loan. Still some very interesting gambles.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Blackburn to sign Shabani Nonda Here <_< Not a fan of Nonda.
Knighton Matt Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Well West Ham were already a good team, top half finish and a FA cup final apperance not to be scoffed at. This could elevate them to new heights however. Big well done to Alan Pardew. Yeah agreed my definition of 'lesser' was a bit loose. I just meant it was nice to see a team outside of the Chelsea/Arsenal/Man U's of the world competing in the transfer market for top class players. Agreed this could see them take the step up to the next level. Milan Mandaric anyone?
martyn Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Tevez and Mascherano are represented by an agency who are part owned by Roman Abramovich........
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Tevez and Mascherano are represented by an agency who are part owned by Roman Abramovich........ ........don't wish to sound rude but so what? . It's not a conflict of intrests if thats what your getting at.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 ........don't wish to sound rude but so what? . It's not a conflict of intrests if thats what your getting at. Just warming them up and getting them used to the English game for big-money moves to Chelsea next summer?
martyn Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Just warming them up and getting them used to the English game for big-money moves to Chelsea next summer? That was my thought. It may not be true however, my Chelsea supporting mate texted me about the Abramovich connection.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Just warming them up and getting them used to the English game for big-money moves to Chelsea next summer? I doubt they would want them there is such a thing as having to many World class players, the William Gallas episode shows this.
